If I never wash another dish again or iron another article of clothing I would be a happy woman! These two chores drive me absolutely crazy and I abhor them both!! It seems so matter how many times I clean the kitchen it gets dirty 15 minutes later! I know I have a large family and we use a lot of dishes but come on! And don't even get me started on my ironing issue! I have to iron my hubby's work clothes every morning. His button down shirts are a pain to iron and take sooo long. Then I don't feel like ironing for anyone else so I don't lol
How about you? What chores are your worst nightmares?

I hate having to make the foods for our dogs and feeding them. It's a good thing that it's my mother-in-law's duty to do that.
I would rather wash the dishes no matter how many they are and clean the house than do those two things.

When I was younger my parents had to pet sit for a friend for a few weeks. I had to feed it. I will never forget how disgusted I was by the smell of wet dog food! If I ever get a dog I will only feed it dry food. It doesn't smell as bad to me.

Oh that's true. Those wet foods are disgusting to me too.
I can only feed the dogs, if it's the dog foods that are like big granules.

I honestly hate cleaning! It feels as if it's a routine job. What's the difference between the floors today and tomorrow? They'll still be dirty no matter how I clean them!
Hehehhee..
I truly hate cleaning. I barely clean my room. Well, I tidy up a little but don't bother to mop or sanitize to perfection. When tomorrow comes, also comes dirt anyhow.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Ooohh.. I think it's different when there are kids about. I know of some friends who really go through all the trouble in order to sanitize the house! hehehe.. But oh well, I know they'll grow tired of such after the 2nd or the 3rd child.
You were right though, there's a big difference between dirty and messy. Sadly, I'm on the 'messy' side of things. When I panic for work or some activity or event, I just end up piling up mess and not having the strength (or the motivation) to clean or tidy up. hahahaha..
I wish Santa would give me the patience, endurance and motivation to clean. hahahhaa..
Have a great Holidays!

I love your honesty! I feel the same way. My mom always says my house is dirty. But in my eyes there is a difference between dirty and messy. I don't have dirty clothes or half eaten food laying around. So my house is just messy and can easily be tidyed up. I just choose not to most of the time because there is no point to it especially when you have small children. I mostly clean when my husband starts griping about it lol

That is another that I hate doing too! Bathrooms are so disgusting. I tell my 11 year old that she is old enough to do this for me. But then I feel bad passing this nasty chore that I wind up doing it. LOL I am such a pushover sometimes!

Hi zuk!
I think there would be very few who enjoy dish washing. Most do not like it and many have part time maid servants (in our city) to get this job done.
It feels really irritating to wash dishes when you have enjoyed a good meal.
Ironing is OK for me and my better half. She enjoys ironing clothes, when she is done with other things. Alternatively, we could sometimes give it to laundry people for ironing.
If we iron our clothes at home, electricity bills gets higher else we need to pay the laundry boy for his services.

Here it is the opposite. Having someone else to iron for me costs way more than doing it myself! I wish it were possible. I would gladly pay if I had the extra money.

i hate doing garden works. we have a small garden in the front side of our house and every so often the weeds grow and overrun the plants. i just hate pulling out all the weeds because it gives me the allergies. i love to plant and i love to watch it grow but when weeds start to grow i regret having a garden in the first place.

I can see why you would regret having a garden! Do you take allergy medicine? Maybe that would help. What kind of garden do you have? I have always wanted one but as I live in an apartment it is impossible for now.

you can always have a garden in a pot zukichucha... ours need a lot of effort to take care though its just a simple garden of green ornamental plants.
i hate taking allergy medicine cause it makes me drowsy all the time what i do is i just apply an ointment to my very itchy allergies after gardening!

Doing dishes and doing laundry are my two most hated chores. I loathe them both so much. The dishes are a neverending fight in that I can completely clear all the dirty ones out, only to walk back into the kitchen a half hour later and have my work all undone, much to my horror. As for laundry, my last job was at a dry cleaners, which involved a lot of hands-on work with both dirty and clean clothes: sorting, folding, tagging, bagging - you name it, I did it. I haven't had less of an urge to do laundry before in my life since I worked there.

I could not work for a dry cleaners or laundromat no matter what they paid me! Just the sound of it makes me shiver. I bet it was hard work. You must be glad to not be working there anymore!

Extremely glad. Since I have to go to laundromat to do my clothes I start quietly weeping inside because it reminds me of my old job.

Well, I don't really mind most of my chores, but I think that cleaning the tables in my house isn't that great because I just know that my cat, Lucky will knock things down again, and I can't stop him because he is clumsy. He doesn't have a good landing when it comes to anything.

Do you have anyone that can do it for you or at least take turns? I have my husband or daughter do it for me. I am very petite so it is very hard work for me too. I have an x-large heavy duty one so it is super heavy.

i have to admit i hate throwing the garbage out. it smells. i have to pick up the cans when the garbage men are done. they throw them down. i spray them with listerine in a spray bottle to keep the critters away. i also place bricks on top of the plastic tops. the squirrels in the past have gnawed holes in them. i think this has helped

I refuse to do this chore. Growing up this was my brothers job. Now it is my husband's! I have had to do it once or twice of course. It is smelly and makes my hands feel so dirty. I have to wash my hands about 10 times before I feel better!!

Well, ironing i hate too.. it is tiring and of course tedious! Well, lucky for me, my hubby does not use polo or formal shirts or button down, most of the time he just would use a shirt or a polo shirt which is easier to iron... and of course my kid's school uniform plus mine but what i do is that..every Sunday, since that is the time i allot for these kind of chores.. i do all the ironing on Sundays, all clothes from monday to friday i do on a sunday..

I'm impressed! I tried ironing for the week once. The longer I took the grumpier I felt. By the time I was done I was in a horrible mood because I was hot and tired! Never again will I do that!!

I hate folding laundry. If my husband would let me I would never fold it. At my dads house we had a huge table that was just covered with clothes that got dumped there and never folded. That was bliss. lol

That is another hated chore in my house! We keep our clothes in laundry bags for weeks until my husband complains. Then the whole family works together to fold them. Yuck! Folding clothes is so boring.

I soak my pots and pans in hot, soapy water for a few hours. Then I use plenty of soap to wash them. That helps quite a bit!

i hate washing our dishes i can do anything but not dish washing, i really hate the scent of left over foods, and even the oily plates. i remember when my mom told to me to wash the dish i refuse to wash she told me that she will spank me if i won't follow her orders, i told her i'd rather get spank than wash dishes

LOL that is how I feel about it! I will never forget when I was younger something that happened to me. My mom told me to wash a dish and cover a pot of rice she was cooking. I did as she said. A little while later she yells at me to come to the kitchen. When I get there she uncovers the rice and shows me the rice. I forgot to wash the bottom of the plate and a whole pot of rice was ruined because ants were on the plate bottom and dropped in the rice. She was so angry she broke the plate over my head. I had a headache for days! Maybe that is why I hate washing dishes so much now!!

i would not like to do the laundry and having to take off all the dry clothes and fold them..i feel kind of lazy doing the laundry but i must do it..and i especially hate it if i am the one around the house to take off all the dry clothes and fold them all up..there are a lot of them,...i would be relieved if i cannot do these two chores..

Folding can take long especially if there are a lot of clothes because you have a large family like I do. So when I am forced to fold clothes I usually do it in front of the television. This way it feels like it goes quicker because I am distracting myself by listening to the tv.

My nightmare chore would be dusting and vacuuming. The reason behind this is that I am allergic to dust and even if I have a dust mask on, whenever I clean I would start sneezing all over the place. The sneezing would then become a cold, then comes the fever which lasts a few days. I don't have a maid and it is unheard of in my country to get a stay-out cleaner. So, I just have to endure my allergy just to clean the house. I don't mind the dishes nor the laundry. These can be automated anyways (dishwasher and washing machine). It's really the dusting that gets to me.

I have asthma so occasionally I start to wheeze when I dust. Then my kids have to take over while I go to another room.
Vacuuming is another problem for me so I don't do it at all. My husband does it though he complains about it lol My arms get very tired pushing the vacuum around. Even though it is not heavy it pains me. Seems like dusting and vacuuming are two things I hate to do too!

I used to have a dish washer when I lived in my old house. I loved it! But we moved and this apartment doesn't have one. I keep hinting for my husband to buy me one but no luck so far.

Taking out the trash is one thing I refuse to do! The smell makes me sick to my stomach. That and vacuuming are the two chores my husband does. Otherwise we will have a smelly house and dirty rugs lol

I hate ironing clothes. I also don't like dusting but I hate ironing more. I don't know why but every time I am ironing my clothes I feel like punching somebody lol. I just feel miserable doing it. I get bored and frustrated easily so I think that contributes to it. I also feel hot and sweaty when I am ironing.
I hate dusting because a minute after you dusted a surface, dust will settle in it again. It is just frustrating. I wanted to wet all of my furniture so dust wont show lol.

Ironing the clothes are the one which I hated most. I really easily get tired from doing this. Though I would like everything to be ironed so to have a much nicer and tidy dresser. It makes my hands numb and my shoulder aches everytime I do this. And it is taking too long to do it. But there is nothing I could do but to bear the pain of doing this because it is necessary for my work uniform and my daughter's school uniform too. Ironing too my husband's pants and shorts with lots of pockets is very hard and heavy to do. I would be glad to do the laundry, washing the dishes and housecleaning than this task.

Can you adjust the ironing board? This might help with the aches. I never feel pain from ironing. I just don't like it because it takes so long.

Oh boy do I know what you mean! At least twice a week I am too tired to wash dishes before bed. So I do them in the morning when I get up. My husband hates this! He thinks we will get mice. So what I do is I fill the sink with water and let the dishes soak overnight. The mice can climb in and lick the leftovers off if they want but they would drown trying to get back out. I never have mice so hubby knows he is wasting his breath lol I tell him he can wash them if he wants to but of course he never does.
