I have been on public transportation before and the person
standing above just sneezed out loud not covering his mouth
or anything...I went off...If I get sick please don't let
it be because of an illmanner, nasty, person who don't have
any respect for others around them...
Coughing withour covering your mouth will get the exact same
reaction from me...One of the first things I was taught as a
child growing up is that you ALWAYS cover your mouth when sneezing
or coughing..
Have some respect for others is all I ask...We can't help for
sneezing or coughing but don't do it on me..You don't want to
see me go off about that....

well, me when i feel like sneezing or coughing i cover my mouth or turn away from any person..i also hate it if someone sneezes or coughs just like that even if there are people around or person in front or beside them..it is really bad and i don't like it that something wet or fluid coming from that coughing or sneezing will shower on me..that lands on my arms or it could land on our lips..it can have some virus or bacteria transmitted...it's kind of disgusting and not really good..

It's so disgusting for anyone to sneeze with a loud noise or sneeze without covering his nose.Even though when I'm far away from him,I would feel uneasy in my mind as if the disgusting fluid has come to my body.In my opinion it's necessary for anyone to sneeze or cough more quitely and not to throw his snot or sputum about,he can do this by using a piece of handkerchief or go somewhere near the dustbin. And this is a respect for others!

thanks wangeplore, thanks for responding...we do know the
proper way to cover when we sneeze or cough, but we need
to try to convey that mesage to those idiots who have no
respect for others ..I do realize that sneezing and coughing
is a part of life,, but people don't need to share it with
everyone around them..
Have a good day.....

People are so self serving now days! And kids are not taught any manners like covering the mouths and even blowing their noses is discusting experience. Respect for others is a thing of past. I think in instances like this you need to 'go off' and be heard. Hopefully it embarrases them and they learn from the experience. Probably not though.

hello,
Yeah, That is kind of rude. Maybe he just dont care to anyone, I also experience that kind of situation and i got really irritated then I really want to get out of the bus that time because he just sneezed out without doing nothing. And the thing is he sneezed out all over and over again then he never cover his mouth. what the?! I think he want us to adopt the environment. Be sensitive!

I take public transport everyday too to get home from school and it's pretty gross when someone sneezes or coughs on you. I have cases where some people have breathed down my neck and I can actually smell their stinky breath, that was really gross and disturbing. I have seen people cough non stop on the bus and I can hear them coughing right behind me, hoping that none of their germs sticks on me. People really should cover their mouths when they sneeze because I do not want to see those tiny wet particles floating in the air. I wouldn't want those particles to hit my face either. I can see why you got off, no one wants to get sick for a few weeks just because some random person on the train didn't have the common courtesy to cover their mouths. We really need to be careful when we touch public things and when we're on public transport. Always wash your hands before eating! I always get a bit grossed out when people sneeze into their hands and then start touching your stuff.

hi Triple, thanks for responding, But you are correct about
touching other stuff while out in public..That is truly one
way to pick up plenty of germs or anything else from others.
But you should always wash your hands before eating anyway
even if you are home..It a wonderful habit to have..
Have a good week and holiday!!!

I'm also experiencing those things whenever I'm riding ANY means of transportation. It usually happens to me in a bus. :/ I super hate those drivers who keep on accepting passengers when we're almost FULL. Then, someone from those will stand on my side and starts to cough or sneeze in front of me without asking ANY excuses!!! :/ Damn it!!! But i can't avoid riding buses which is the ONLY WAY of our transportation going in and out of this province. :/

hi haengbok, thankd for responding...you know exactly what
I am saying..I dont' ride PT now much at all because I have
a vehicle..But this was a while ago when I use to ride PT..
I had no problems with the driver picking up however many
passengers he could, he could have put them on the roof of the
bus, I don't care, that still is no reason for an idiot to
sneeze or cough right out in public without covering with
hands or into their elbow fold.....
Have a safe day!!!!

That is very rude. I was taught to sneeze in my lower arm, but learned later to sneeze closer to my shoulder area, especially if I am cooking, because the further away the sneeze from my hands, the better..

your right, but my friend the person who is suffering from such sneexes and cold cough will also had had learnt about those manners. Some times it can happen all of a sudden when the hands do not go that fast when compared to a sneexe. So i do agree that ur right but some times mistakes do happen with elders too.Kids are taught from their homes the good manners ,as time passes on changes do come .They do not forget the manners but just try to take it as a easy way "take it easy".

I also can't stand someone sneeze or cough on me. It's not really hard covering the mouth and nose when they sneeze out or cough but someone doesn't really care. And because I can sometimes easily gets such virus and I really having cough and cold, I would take out my hanky and cover my nose and mouth. That is my way of telling that person to have some respect, coz I can't tell them to do it. Some people won't just understand.

how rude, I would be very angry if someone will sneeze and I would feel the impact on my skin. grrrrr. Some people really don't know proper manners, as long as they do what they want it's ok for them. He should have atleast said sorry..
