I'm sure some of us (or rather, MOST of us) do encounter some irritating job interview questions.
One classic question would be like this:
'Ok, so a customer comes in and wants something that was taken off the menu recently.'
Me: I'll tell him that it's not in the menu anymore and recommend something similar on the menu.
'What if the customer insist on getting the item(that's off the menu')
Me: I'll ask the manager to explain to the customer. (I know it shouldn't come to this. :( )
'What if the manager is busy?'
Me: . . .
I can't remember much of the details but yeah, it's almost like this.
How would you answer it? :( Is there anyway to tackle this kind of questions?
What kind of questions had you encountered?

I would say the manager is busy at the moment, This item is currently unavailiable on the menu and feel free to fill in a suggestions form and maybe we will reintroduce the item in the menu again soon. (That way the customer feels like he/she is getting involved in the menu and you keep the peace and keep the customers happy)

I would seek help from the Shift Time Leader or the Management Trainee if I am not able to help the customer. They say customers are always right but if we give our sweetest smile while negotiating with them, although sometimes it does not work, at least try, firstly.

I have no answer to that question! :/ We can't do those things beyond our limitations in this kind of job we're in. AND NOT ALL THE TIME, CUSTOMERS ARE PERFECT!
