How do you keep a neutered male cat from spraying?

I have a ten year old neutered male cat that sprays on everything from furniture too socks accidentally dropped on the floor. I thought by neutering a cat it prevents it from spraying. It's almost like he gets revenge when you anger him, kick him off the bed, he sprays the bedspread at the foot of the bed. Don't pet him when he demands, he sprays your shoes. Any idea why he is doing this and how to prevent it?

Years ago i had a cat that done this even after being neutered, the reason he done it was due to hormones and i use to take him to the vets to get an injection, that was ok, until it ran out and then he sprayed again, so yes returning to the vets was great. My cat was only 5 years old at the time and he use to spray up me all the time i was pregnant.I know that the injections were cheap and that they worked, but you may have to repeat the injections.
