What was the price of your last shoes and how long did it last?

First of all, I'm a Malaysian Chinese male still taking my bachelor's degree. The thing is, I have been buying new shoes, mostly sneakers every now and then, a few times a year. It is not because I like to buy shoes, but the reason is because my shoes get tear off, broken to a very ugly state which I don't think I should wear it any more. I don't know what's wrong as I tried my best to take care of my shoes. I have to say all my efforts are in vain. As a result, I have to spend hundreds of dollars per year to buy shoes. So what about you? What was the price of your shoes and how long did it last? Mine doesn't last for a quarter of a year

My last pair of shoes were a pair of brown-heeled boots that I saw when they were originally £35 but I waited until they went into the sale and I got them for £20. I don't wear them all the time as they are quite smart but they are still in very good condition and I have had them for a few months. I try and buy shoes like Dr Martens that I know will last me a long time. One pair lasted me 7 years!

I usually buy my shoes when they are on offer. Although I have more confidence in branded ones, I do buy those not so famous ones for economic reasons. A couple of years ago I bought a pair of runner shoes of a famous brand, it lasted me barely about 12 months. I then bought another locally made pair which cost me only 1/3 of the price and it is still good to use after 2 years.

Yup, sometimes priced products do not necessarily implies that they are of good quality. It is due to the brand name of the product. As long as the shoes look nice and can last longer time, why not buy that one over the priced one

I used to be a shoe buyer but these days I do seem to wear sneakers most of the time, I never did buy expensive shoues because I prefer not to wear leather but I found I could buy very nice cheaper shoes, non-leather and very good looking shoes, but give me sneakers any day except when I get all dressed up...

Yeah, sneakers can be much more comfy, stylish yet cheap. My girlfriend always wear sneakers too except during her birthday dinner

The last pair of shoes I bought cost £26, but I only bought them yesterday and have worn them once so I don't know how long they will last yet. I think the last pair of shoes I got was my converse - they were a gift so I don't know how much they cost - at christmas 2010; I wear them very frequently and they're still going strong. Perhaps you should look more at the quality of the shoes you're buying rather than the price. Quality that will last longer is often more cost effective then cheap shoes that you have to replace frequently. Birdie -

My last pair of running shoes bought was 2 years ago, at use clothing I paid $ 2.00 for them and I still wearing them since. They look like they are going to last another year I think the way it goes. You don't need to pay a big price to have a good comfortable pair.

If I'm going to spend money I tend to buy really good boots. I have a pair of hi-tech magnums (army boots). This is my second pair and it took me seven years to wear out the first pair. They cost around£70. I also have a pair of Caterpillar boots that I got in a Charity Shop for £2.50 when they would be £80 new and I expect they will last me a few years.

Hello dear....i for one love shoes but i see to it that i really buy those good quality shoes ....meaning those brands that have been in the shoe industry for quite sometime.Prices of these shoes are bit higher compared to others. Also consider the type of shoes that fits the shape of your toes/feet.Look for shoes thats really comfortable to wear on your feet rather than following what is in....ending is that you will hurt your feet as well as damage your shoes

Hi there, I am using to kinds of shoes, a leather shoes for work and a running shoes for my exercise. All my life, I always my black shoes always last for exactly a single year. Its not because it gets torn off or damaged but because it won't fit to me anymore. I got the leather shoes I am using right now for 60 dollars last August. I am still using it and I am pretty sure, next August or September, I'll be buying a new one again. My running shoes' life span is a bit varied. Some were damaged and others didn't agree with my size anymore. My current shoes was worth 90 dollars. I bought it a year ago and it's still in a pretty good condition. It was quite expensive but I guess it's worth it. Unlike my previous running shoes, which didn't last for a half of a year.

I'm the type of person who is really thrifty. The last pair of shoes that I bought was worth less than $1. I bought that shoes on a Thrift store and that shoes has a little damage, as of this moment the shoe is still good enough I bought it last October. We are the same no matter how many times I took care of a shoes it will be broken. I think it also depends on how we frequently use the shoes and also the quality of the shoes.

hello! :D I can't afford to buy shoes that is original. I am just a student too so I have to buy imitation shoes and sandals that came from the other other country because it is cheaper but less quality. Soon If I can earned money then that's the time I will buy a good quality shoes or products that will lasts long!! :)

My Winter shoes are expensive as I can only use very soft shoes. Fortunatly they last me a long time. I´´m not interested in beauty: I don´´t want my feet to hurt. I bought the last pair 5 years ago. They are good although they need a paint repair once in a while. They must have costed me over $100. As for sandals, I have many and they are cheaper. Their price goes between $20 to $35. They also last a lot.

The last pair of shoes I had bought was a pair of wedge and it was about $100. I think it is worth it cause it is still in really good condition. Although it gets dirty because the color is white but can be wiped out. I hope it will still last for about4 yrs or Long. It is a good pair though and have a good brand.
