I am not an Indian, and I know that I have no right to criticize other countries affairs. Lately, I read news mostly involved with lack of human precaution, which cause hundreds of people die of accident, or intention of poisoning, mostly happening in India. As a previous post, those cheap, toxic liquor and alcohol are sold in an Indian village, kill 145 people, and hundreds more in critical condition. Lately, a prestigious hospital in India, lack of fire escape, and all the fire precautionary procedure. Doctors abandoned patients inside the hospital during a fire evacuation, leaving hundreds of patients and among other people die within this fire. Also, it is found that fire drill, and fire escape route is never heard of in India. Also, fire truck was delayed for few hours to arrive, because the narrow street, and traffic condition which also attribute to such tragedy. Should other countries, especially those lack of fire precautionary procedure, and fire drill should take consideration to avoid such tragedy happen. That is a vivid example for all of us to learn a valuable lesson.

I am not from India and my girlfriend is there right now as a volunteer. I hear it's very rural and poor in many areas. It seems that maybe the size of the country might be a part of the problem. Villages are spread out and to have consistency across the nation it seemingly would take a lot of work. Yes, I'm sure the corruption does not help and is a problem all over the world. I guess the question is what else can we do to help?

Well, i think there are more reasons for those tragedies. Corruption and incompetence of the government is the top reason for it. If any certifications can be bought with money, if most officials can be bribed by money, then similar things will happen again and again. All official are trying their best to "make "more money to live a better life, they are not afraid of those poisonous foods because they can afford expensive ones with high quality. Only poor people are victims of the tragedies, and poor people's life in underdeveloped countries are worthless at all.

I am not Indian but I am living in India and there are more worse news than that but don't isolate problems, it does happen to other countries too not only in India. Everything has a purpose why these things happen. It teaches human about their lack, their sin to God and their need to call upon God.
Yes, you are right about saying learning a valuable lesson. We should not let things reach into terrible things if we have done something like obedience to God.

ya its true that in India lots of things are in real mess but the thing is you know its a country with one seventh of world's population and its a developing country. So there are some limitations we should take into consideration when we are talkin about such a magnitude of people. The thing about hospital the reality is that indian hospitals are overflowing with patients specially government hospitals which are cheap. So it's understood that some things are taken for granted but it's more of situational than intentional.
