I think when you would want to have a gadget full of specs and has value for money and is quite flexible it would be best to choose samsung tab especially if it is very easy to be upgraded, with aps that are readily available for download too. =)

Apple's more tightly constrained system are generally credited with being more stable and less prone to hardware/software and OS/App incompatibilities and mishaps, than less restricted system. But, if you value flexibility, configurability, and the ability to control...Android maybe preferred platform. In that case, The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is well worth considering as an alternative to the Ipad 2. At this point, I only turn to the Ipad when in need of a specific application that'snot available on Galaxy tab. and that's not very often.

I have an iPod Touch, which is basically like a tiny iPad, and it's pretty great. I love it, actually! I've also used an iPad before and I think it's awesome. I've never used the samsung 10.1 so I can't really give my opinion on that.

If you ask me, I'll choose Ipad 2 because I like music. Although, my personal choice would be Iphone 5. This is something I'd die for just to own one.

Personally, I prefer an iPad. But it depends on what you intend to do with the tablet. There are more useful apps available on the appstore and if your activities is heavily dependent of the app, then apple is the choice.
