Yesterday, a youth leftist group from the Philippines called Anakbayan released a statement against the Philippine President Ninoy Aquino entitled "Anakbayan disgusted with presidential ‘show of insensitivity’, culpability for Mindanao flood tragedy". You can read the article here: http://www.anakbayan.org/anakbayan-disgusted-with-presidential-show-of-insensitivity-culpability-for-mindanao-flood-tragedy/
A large area of the Philippine islands have been devastated by a typhoon named "Sendong". The damage was immense it was dubbed as the world's worst typhoon for 2011 with at least 957 people dead and at least a hundred people missing.
Anakbayan was displeased about the president attending a party for his security personnel despite the on-going calamity. They deemed his presence was important to the people affected. The president's press retorted that the president want to reward his personnel for their good service since they are putting their lives on the line. However, the president left the party promptly to attend to his duties.
Some Filipinos were dismayed that the groups always look at the president's actions negatively, not only to our president but to other officials as well.
Do your countrymen think the same way about their government officials? What is your opinion about the leftist groups that always comment negatively about your government officials?

Not just the left, but also the right like to criticize the political leaders. I believe they have the right to do so. It does not always work for our general good, but it is good that they have a right to say what they believe.

In my opinion, those leftists are always hyper critical. No matter how good a person is, they will find a way to criticize him/ her.
Of course, the President has to go to the party, to show his gratitude also to all his PSG personnel. He is the much awaited guest of the party, so why would he not go. And as said, he left early to attend to his duties.
The agencies assigned to assist are already doing their part. In a later date, he will surely go to the devastated area to look at the conditions of our fellow kababayans.
