FONDNESS for SPICY FOODS

I like most of my foods to be spicy. I would always crush a piece or two of a small spicy chili to my cooked veggies . For my burgers, I would always put all over the top of the patty , some hot sauce. My fried foods would surely be sprinkled with hot sauce too. My dips would always have a crushed small chili to make it spicy! Oh how I love spicy foods. But the spiciest that I could take is the Kikkoman, with some lemon drops and a bit of wasabi mixed to them. How I would laugh when I can feel the spiciness of the wasabi creep up into my nose! My husband also likes spicy foods, but he has to sometimes forego of it, because he has hyper acidity. So, what about you guys?

I love spicy foods so as you. It brings different taste and urge to eat more. With fried foodies i make it a point that i have soy sauce with hot sauce like tabasco and ketchup... I really love that dip and eat with it over and over. Its so yummy for me..

Oh you are like my husband. He likes Tabasco , to make the food spicier. But as for me, i prefer the ordinary hot sauce. For me, Tabasco has a sour taste that changes the taste of the food in a not delicious way. So at the fridge, we have hot sauce for me, Tabasco for my husband and Sweet Chili sauce for my in-laws. It seems that all of us in the house likes our mouth hot!

Sometimes siling labuyo(native chili) is enough for me. Usually for calamansi and soy sauce for anu grill food like grill milkfish or tilapia.. Which is my all time favorite..

I like some spicy food. But I cannot handle it because my stomach is very sensitive. So, I tend to get a mild spice on some foods. Thats I can seem to handle much better. My father is the one that loved the real hot red pepper.

You are just like my husband who has a hyper acidity. He likes spicy food but he eats in milder form. Too much and too often can irritate his stomach.

A Spicy on the side - Food Plate
I also do love chili. I guess it adds excitement to my food. I learned to eat chili from my husband. I used to dread this actually but little did I know that it can can be learned and it is addictive. ha!ha!ha! Now I seemed could not enjoy food without some spiciness in it. So I always ask for chili or chili sauce when in a Chinese restaurant.

Correct, my friend ! The fondness of spicy foods is addictive. We always would like to put some spiciness in our foods. It seems that the food isn't as delicious , when it's not spicy. But i cannot chew the chili itself. Can you?

Spicy food, hmmmm, it sounds great. By the way, have you ever tried Indonesian spicy food? This is very much different to the ones you are accustomed to. Most Indonesian cuisine is very spicy. The sauce consists of a lot of chilli. You can ask your friends who have visited Indonesia. Boiled meat is mixed with cooking spices containing cooked coconut juice, minced chilly and other ingredients. Wow, this really makes my mouth water, you see.

Yeah, i have read about reviews on Indonesian foods and are said to be so spicy. From the food that you have just described, i know that it is a very delicious food, specially that it is spicy. Though, i must say, that i think i cannot eat it, because i think it's super hot! I love spicy foods but not so spicy though.

Absolutely. I myself can't stand it. But I think at the beginning you will feel unable to cope with such spicy Indonesian foods. In the long run I am sure you will get used to it and perhaps, you will get hooked on it. Say by the way where are you from?

I am from the Philippines, in a province, where people are fond of spicy foods. We make use of our native very small, but very spicy chili.

I also like spicy food, more so my wife. However my mother who is 90 doesn't like it, so we have to make an allowances for her when we cook food.I think the spicy food stimulates the appetite and it is good for people's health specially in the place where there are so many humid days.

I think , when one becomes older the taste bud is affected. It seems that their tolerance to spicy and hot foods is lessened.

I don't make our dishes so spicy, just a bit though, my friend. That's because my mother-in-law has already little tolerance on spicy food. So, we would just crush a small chili on the dish when it's on our plate already, to make it as spicy as we like it to be.

I am not that fond of SPICY when it comes to food. Matter of fact, anytime I eat Thai food it has to be #1 for level of spice. I have aten some Ethiopian food and if it is not overly spicy it is good. But most of the time when I eat, I do not eat a lot of spicy foods. They usually do not do my stomach justice either.

I do like the spicy food too! As a family, we love Japanese food. And wasabe is always asked extra. The kids don't care too much about it, but I like with the sauce. Once in a while, I would venture into a Thai restaurant and get their extra spicy dishes. There's also a burito place near at work where I can get mine extra spicy!

Indeed i can say that you love spicy food ! In Japanese foods, i like their sauces with wasabi that you can make in your own taste. But usually i only put so little of wasabi, enough for me not to feel the burning feeling on my nose.

I like to eat once in a while spicy foods, but not on a regular basis. Even though I do like spicy food, it tends to give me a bad case of heart burn, that could last for hours, so that is why I actually avoid it. I tried wasabi one time and trust me that was the last time, that is just a bit to spicy for my taste. I draw the line with spicy with jalapeno's and tabasco sauce, that is my limit.

You are just like my husband. Too much and frequent use would irritate his stomach. Oh yes, wasabi is indeed so hot. Actually, i would only put very small amount on my sauce and mix it. It has a spiciness that really gets into my nose. Yes, jalapeno , tabasco , hot sauce and chili peppers are my limit. But as to the chili , i don't chew in them. I just crush them into my food and set it aside to throw. What is important, is it did make my food spicy, in a tolerable manner.

You're just like my dad, everything he eats has to have chilli in it and we usually eat as a family so we all have to eat the spicy food because we all share it. We always have a dipping sauce and my dad would cut copious amounts of chilli in there. All his food has chilli in it and sometimes its so hot you can't even touch it anymore. I hate the tearing feeling when you accidentally eat a chilli and you bite into it It's truly a shocker and it burns my mouth. But I do like chilli too, a bit would be nice but too much is crazy! But most food without some sort of spicy taste tend to have a very plain taste and it's quite boring. Chilli makes eating fun and tasty! I remember watching this man on a show who can eat a chilli raw! Just like that! He would grab a whole chilli and pop it in his mouth and chew it like it was some sort of chewing gum. He also wiped a whole chilli all over his arms and legs. Of course to us that would burn! But to him, he felt nothing. Imagine popping a whole chilli into your mouth!

Yes my friend, the foods becomes so appetizing when it's spicy. But not so spicy though. That is nothing compared to a man from our province, where he is called the Chili King, because he can eat a lot of small chilis in one popping into his mouth. He won the chili eating contest. But eating a lot of spicy chilis i think can raise up the BP.

Oh, I am too fond of Spicy food.. In fact, if it isn't spicy I can't eat it... I generally like to keep a green chilli in my plate... I take it bit by bit until my meal is over... I love it... Also, I want the food to be hot.. If it has got cold, I can't eat it... That is one reason why I could never take a tiffin with me to office, because it gets cold by the meal time... Hot and Spicy food is such an invitation to my stomach and my taste buds... :)

I like spicy food more than food in any other kind of flavor!I come from Chongqing,in southwestern China.Maybe you have heard of this city before. And you may have tasted the Chongqing hotpot.Spicy food really brings excitement and happiness to me when I eat it,and I would like it to be even more spicy! When I eat noodles in the cateen,I would add a lot of pepper to make it spicy enough for me.I've heard that people in Mexico,Thailand and some other Southeastern Asian countries also like spicy food very much.So it's possible that you come from one of the above countries, friend?I believe you'll like Chongqing cuisine very much, and if you have a chance to come to Chongqing, there are all kinds of spicy food waiting for you!

I also love spicy foods. Every time we eat we put chili in the sauce to create that spicy flavor. A little bit of lemon would also kick the flavor up a notch. I have a friend who can eat a chili or two who says she doesn't feel a burning sensation after. The bad side of spicy foods though is that it can inflame stomach ulcers and cause hemorrhoids. It's also contraindicated in cases such as GERD.

I think i read a health magazine that says, it's not the spicy foods that causes hemorrhoids. But if you already have a hemorrhoids, it can be aggravated by the spicy food. Oh, i cannot eat the small chili (siling labuyo) , I just want it to spice my food. Well, they say that if you are fond of eatin spicy foods, you will be far from getting colds.

I think in your country, you use curry powder and other powders to spice your foods. Us here in the Philippines, we make it spicy by putting small spicy chili or chili powder. And from what i have known your foods are a lot spicier than us. I just don't know if i can eat foods that are as spicy as yours, though. That's amazing that even a 5 year old is already fond of eating spicy food.
