First of all, oil should never had been a currency. Money was always based on Gold, not oil. I think that the auto industry is doing a good job in creating alternative fuel vehicles and electric cars. I do believe that they will create a car that will not need any oil based fuel for energy. The sun is strong and water is also something to look into. I also do not think the world would be without cars. They will always be around.

They have the technology to make a vehicle run on water if they want to. But it is all a money game. It's like when cd's came out. They were obsolete the day they hit the market. If they make a vehicle that runs on water, the oil companies would be out of business and they will be real upset like little cry babies. I do not think we will see anything progressive in our lifetimes. Maybe sometime in the future.

OF course they can make a car which can run through water. A Filipino inventor once created that kind of machine. It can break down every part of h2O. The hydrogen that is then created can be used to power the car. The public and the government didn't buy it though. Most probably because of oil companies.
