I really feel like I should write some and paste them on my wall... Since I feel hat I have not really done anything great this year and I should really get rid of my bad qualities. Are yu still going to write resolutions?

That is a good idea. Make sure you write it in a big letter in a big paper so that you know how important it is! Back in my school days I really like to write it and I am happy that I always did everything that I have written down.(^^) I am not going to write any resolutions as I am planning to improve the things that I am doing now. Just in case if I need to do and try something new I will write them down.(^^)

Every year I make a list of goals, but not just "lose weight, save money, etc" kind of goals. Some of them are things like studying a foreign language, but some of them are financial goals and then the ones like getting blinds for the big picture window in the living room. I keep the list handy. It works for me because I like to check things off a list! Since I have all year to accomplish them, it's kind of fun.

Not having great success over the years with resolutions, I generally don't set them. But old habits die hard so I can't say the thought of this doesn't enter my mind. I don't know why a promise to one's self seems much harder to keep then one to another person. Blessings

I always write resolutions, as I think that it really does give you something that you can work on for the rest of the year. This year, I have lost a lot of weight and made a fair amount of money online, and they were both things that I wanted to do with my life when I wrote my resolutions last year. This year, I plan to lose more weight to get to my target weight, and also plan to make enough money to fill up my ISA before April, and then try to fill next year's allowance as well by my birthday, which is in September.

You should do what you think is best for you. Whether you write your resolutions in a book or print them and stick on your wall or tell others so that they will remind you and etc, the most important thing which is the hardest thing to do is to stick to the resolutions. Many times, at the end of the year, people go through their resolutions only to find that they barely achieve and so the resolutions were brought forward to the following year and again the following year...sounds familiar, right?

lady1993 I think by writing it down, you are committing to your goal. Many people do not do it because they know they are not going to do it or fail to do it. but when you achieve it then it is really wonderful.

Yes i have planned a lot about my resolutions infant all these years i make resolutions but i always fail with a period of week or two month. My motive is to remove all the bad qualities and follow the commandments of Jesus Christ the savior. Its very hard to have self controlled on life when temptations are very strong. For example getting out of the habit of smoking. When you know that it is injurious to your life still you want to smoke that is because a man's body is been addicted to the behavior. So i guess to get rid of bad habbits and make new resolutions we have to be selfcontrolled and be soberminded to God.
