I think that is a bit unfair because they are obese. Then they will be charging people for insurance high for any kind of sickness or weight limit being too high.

Personally I think this is a wrong approach unless they are deliberately doing this, and not heeding anyone's advice. Most of the time from what I have seen a lot of the people who are really over weight are usually older people with a lot of Health issues as well. Many times it is from lack of $$, or being able to get around to fix or buy foods that are good for them. In reality there needs to be more education and help to try and avoid some of the people out there being allowed to get this big.

Obese people are more likely to suffer diabetes, hypertension, cardiac arrest, etc. but that does not mean those who are not obese will not. In most cases many obese people are burdened with how they will lose weight so let us not burden them anymore with additional charge for their insurance. So I think it is not fair to charge them more. I do agree however to charge more on those who smoke and those who do vices that will not give their body any good.

It does not seem fair, however, smokers are charged higher rates becase of the risks so it makes sense that those who are obese are higher risks too and could be fairly charged higher rates too. They are at risk of developing many diseases becasuse of obesity.

hi,
i think those obese people should have this even those thin people because illness and disease are traitor, having this insurance to make our self more prepare in the future, and when it comes in charging i think the agency will charge obese same as in the normal charge.

It would be unfair for them, why single them out. How about people who are heavy smokers, drunkards and other vices that is not good for their health, they should have included them too.
Besides, those people who applied for insurance are physically examined first prior approval of their insurance.
