How do you apply for a passport here in the Philippines? I'm seventeen year old (turning 18 on March next year) and I need a passport because I have been selected as an exchange student to Japan for the next school year 2012-2013 at Waseda University. Thank you very much! Happy Holidays :)

In applying for a passport here in the Philippines. It would be good if you do it personally with your guardian or parent. You should to your nearest DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs)office. They will guide you the step by step process. You need to do it as soon as possible since you are leaving by next year. Good luck on your studies in Japan.

Hi paopaolar, You need to go this site to setup an appointment first http://www.passport.com.ph/set-appointment You will be asked to fill out an online application, select appointment date... once everything's done you will be sent an application form. Print that out and that is the one you're gonna bring on your appointment date.
