fellow mylotter" I lost ten cents, why did I? did you lose any money?"

I read this heading but when I went to respond mylot admins had already deleted it. I have seen three others with almost the
same amount and the same topic but I imagine they were also
deleted as I just did not want to waste my earnings on some thing
that was sure to be deleted. My question is in view of the dont
post a discussion about an issue you have with mylot admins why
do people lately do this over and over and over? I did feel like
helping this mylotter this time but mylot admins had already
chopped it down.Is it because they do not read any of the guidelines and the FAQ's?. I have noticed mylot had left some of them up for a few days but still they get chopped down. I mean if you make an error one time fine, but if you make the same error over and over
shame on you.Do we older ones need to copy the dos and don'ts of
discussion making and tell the newer users over and over since
they don't want to read the guidelines? I know as older ones we
should help the new ones but how is the best way? some get angry
when I just suggest they read the guidelines and FAQ's

Hi Friend I truly believe the newer members find it easier asking other Mylotter's these questions than contacting the admin for answers.
After having their discussions deleted so many times you would think they would learn to ask the admin rather than post about losing money and asking others why this is happening.Boggles the mind.

That's probably right.. they would rather ask than find out on their own by reading.

hi jujunme yes it really does boggle the mind. Like if I accidentally stuck my finger in a wall socket and got a
shock I sure as shooting would not do it again. I have begun to assume that so many newcomers feel its easier to ask us older
ones but do they and You realize there's a lot of info there
in the guidelines. a lot of older users, unlike me , have jobs and not a lot of time so its hard for them to make a lengthy explanation of all the rules of discussion. I have a lot of time as I am retired
and elderly so I can spend more time on any one person. but I do feel that if they can read other 's discussions why not just read
the guidelines and the FAQ's for themselves.?yes the admins is the
place to ask about any issues they have, not in a discussion as we'
are not the admins. lol

I also lost come cents in the beginning and sometimes in middle. I think it is always great to follow the rules and post according the rules rather than posting on discussions that will get deleted. I also try to avoid discussions that do not follow the rules.

You hit the nail on the head. No one bothers to read the rules. And it wouldn't do any good to copy them down for them because they wouldn't read those either. Some times some of those discussions stay up for a few days because they post them during a time when admin is not very active. Like the weekends where I hardly ever see admin here. They really need some time off and we should not let that worry us. It is just sad that those of us who try to help newbies lose money responding to their posts that are regulation violations.
Personally I am glad for all the help certain ones gave me when I first started here. It has helped me make this site a pleasure to be on. I have made many good friends here and I treasure each one of you. We can't let ourselves get bent out of shape by those who only want to complain and won't accept the offered help.

hi savak and ravisivan I had help too when I first came here and it was really great. My helper is still helping newcomers today. One person who helped me turned out to not be my friend after all and caused me to lose two discussions by really insulting me and getting me so upset I insulted back, the moral to this is do not get upset when insulted, just report the insulting post to the admins. I lost those two from keeping a flaming war going best to keep ones temper. just report the person who is insulting you.Tennessee , are those the Ozarks by any chance?

Yes, those who are always helping know who they are. It is best not to single people out in a discussion just to be on the safe side. I often do it anyway though.
As far as my location I think you only read part of my profile. That is South Pittsburg which is a small town in Tennessee in the United States. It is right on the border of Alabama. No famous temples but we do have some beautiful mountains here.

You are in Pittsburg. Is that the place where we have famous Sri Venkateswara Temple (similar to Tirupati). I visited that temple in 2007.

I think if you (anyone) tries to tell someone else how to do something (like post correctly on MyLot), their back goes up and they get defensive. It also might help if MyLot could post a Do's and Don't list that new members get when signing up in addition to the FAQs. Of course it's just a suggestion.

Yahoogroups allows moderators to have files sent to new members where you can put anything you like. I ran a number of lists over the years where I often had a Do and Don'ts list. Most of the time people wouldn't follow instructions and then threw a temper tantrum when their post wasn't allowed.
READ people, READ. It could save your life some day...

oh scorpiobabes got to tell you this story., my dad was taking u s on a vacation through the Western states. we were on this country
road and a rather worn sign said detour here road under construstion
he laughed and said that sign was old as the hills. I suggested he turn off on the detour.oh no he said thats an old sign., So he goes barreling down this country road and oh myG the bridge was out so there we sat about seven feet down fromn the dirt road., He had to waljk to a nearby farm house and call for a tow truck . oh my goodness the effort it took to get out car out of that dry creek bed on the lowest point. The tow truck driver asked him did he not see the signs and take the detour road? My father just mumbled and turned red.I saw; thought that when we met up with another detour sign my dad did as he was asked., lo,,.oh and the towing cost him two hundred dollars so maybe that was a good incentive to follow directions after that. lol

hi yes indeed if she has been through too much you want things to be safe aroung her. I w ill never forget when my little girl put a lima bean in her nose and the darned thing swelled up so I had to take her to our family doctor. He managed to get it cut in the middle so he could pull it out with out hurting her too much. We never did know where she got that one bean seed as we did not have any in the house.
she was really pretty good too about it as it must have hurt . she whimpered a bit but did not cry. then she said" mommmy lisa a bad girl?" I laughed then said " honey do not ever put anything up your nose or in your ears, they will make you very sick., And she really listened and never did that again. I learned fast to have eyes in the back of my head with two toddlers only 11 months apart.

Hi Hatley,... I think it is because they don't read the FAQs and the guidelines. I remember reading a discussion once about who reads the guidelines and I was surprised to see how many people said they didn't. Some said they scanned them.. but I think this is why there are so many questions concerning mylot... especially when they have an issue with mylot... we are supposed to take it up with mylot and not make a discussion about it.
I know that if we PM GAA he will answer... because I have and gotten an answer by the next day. All that said, all people need to do is to get accustomed to reading and rereading the mylot FAQs and do's and don'ts.

hi Pointless Questions Thats what I think too as its all there to
tell them what to do and not do. Yest they seem to think its really cute to say oh I never read guidelines. They are told if they
have an issue do not make a discussion on it, but contact
my lot admins and tell them their problem.
I have found also that GAA will help us if we PM him and
seems to do so gladly.People do need to read all the information
and reread it a few times to boot.

hi celticEagle yes I thought by now most all newcomers would know it they put their gripes about losing discussions in a discussion they
have broken a mylot rule. the admins says take any issues you have with us to contact and tell us the problem,. discussions about issues with us will just be deleted.I think mylot could get a little tougher and do a short quiz with all new comers before ever letting them post on mylot at all. sure would save a lot of complaining rule breaking newcomers and save us from hearing about it too.

To me I would rather have someone remind me to check out the guidelines, as the guidelines do change from time to time. I think some just don't do common sense. They are trying to make money as quickly as possible so they repeat things they see. Which is a shame. I'm not sure what the solution is. Maybe if there discussions are deleted time and time again, they might get the point eventually.

Its important to go through all the faqs and terms before joining any sites. And if users do this, I am sure they don't need to ask such questions in discussions. If we having any problem we can use contact us directly. And we also having one good option of pm. hi chang yes ignorance of the rules is really no excuse
whether its driving in traffic or making discussions. saying
they had no time to read the guidelines says to me
that they do not want to abide by the rules. okay then
I hope each and every time they break a mylot dont that
they get caught out and have the discussions deleted.
perhaps that might make them read the ru les in self
defense. When I had two deleted it was because I lost

Happy to know that the new mouse bought by you son is working very well. In fact I prefer 'big mouse' as compared to another one 'small mouse' I bought recently. I made a reference about it in my earlier discussion. You will get used to this new one.
Aunty - while eating christmas cake remember all our mylot friends also and that will include me.
Good to know you are not having snow fall now. In Detroit where my son stays -- they do get snowfall now and then and it will be the order of the day hereafter.

Hi Hatley,
So far thank goodness no one got angry at me when I tell that their post is violating the guidelines or advised them to read the guidelines. Most of the time anyway I am the second or third person to reply. So maybe the anger will be vent on the first commenter While, some accepts that they have not read everything what's in the guidelines so for me they are okay as they can accept it if they made a mistake. But I can't understand too why those people you said have been continuously submitting topics that has been deleted. I am sure admin is also informing why it was deleted. And, hopefully they make it a point to visit the FAQs.

Saw how you advised her and it was in a good way, so I don't think you're being hard. It's just that there are some people here who don't accept advises from others. Too bad some just rant and whine.

sumopunk no the problem is not with the server but you newcomers who refuse to read the guidelines then make a discussion complaining about the admins and getting that deleted. in the guidelines the admins makes it very clear that any user making a discussion about
issues he or she has with mylot admins will have it deleted. if they have an issue go to contact and tell the admins about the issue. This makes sense as we users cannot tell the person why his or her post was deleted as they will not listen to us tell about the rules. If
your earnings are cutting short check your posts, are they one liners as one liners do not get paid much if anything. most of the time the answer to your questions can be solved by reading all the my lot information and if you still have problems press contact ,go to
other on the menu and talk to the admins about your confusion and ask
for helpl

Personally it would be nice if people when they first become a member here would take time to read the FAQ's here, or at least ask questions so that they can learn how to earn money here, and what things are not allowed. I know over the yrs, this site has seen a lot of changes, but if people would only learn from their mistakes and improve from them they would be so much happier here for sure.

Hi, Hatley! Some people may be slow learners, they need to repeat several mistakes before they can learn a bit inside Mylot environment. May be after a few discussion were deleted by the Adm., then they can only see the point why it is against the rules here. Or they just flatly don't mind losing few cents from the balance, after all, it is not a big deal with those 'cents' lost from an account contain few dollar, it is a lot easier to lose few cents than having to correct your habitual errors in some personalities.

I asked two questions of Mylotters soon after joining - after I had scanned and searched through everything offered here and still couldn't find answers to those two questions. Apparently the two I asked were okay as they were never deleted. Since then I have been more active in the tasks, but when I do respond to discussions I tend to avoid ones that I know will be deleted - which is usually anything doing with making money - how much - on My lot.

hi timetravel if a person will just read through the guidelines it gives a pretty comprehensive list of the don'ts of making discussions
and I imagine you have done that. I have found I need to refresh myself occasionally and i admit there are times when I am not

Speaking as a new user, I read the FAQ's. I'm boggled as to how many violations there are. The FAQ's are more than specific enough to let you know what posts are appropriate and which are not. I have to put this down to people refusing to read the FAQ's. Or maybe the problem is self-maintaining. You know one person that knows better sees others apparently violating the FAQ's and thinks why can't I do the same thing? Then others see that person ...
