What kind things have you done that look small but that you know make a difference?
What seemingly small kind deeds have others done that made a difference in your life?
What little kind deeds do you encourage others to do?
Let us talk about kindness here and let that talk about kindness encourage more people to be kind...
I am starting this discussion because I was inspired by one of the women who responded to another one of my posts,Marguchia, who told me about a hunger site that she clicked on that donated 10 grains of rice per click. She said that didn't seem like a lot but that she clicked enough to get that amount to be around 1000 grains a day or more. She then shared the need to do the little things that add up to be the big things... Thanks again Marguchia for that response as it prompted this discussion.

Well, I think I always do kind deeds everyday when I also give food to stray dogs that come outside our fence when I feed my own dogs. I also give food to other dogs. When I see a dog that looks like it has not eaten for days, I would even buy something to give it when I am in the city for example. I also see to it that the woman who comes to do our laundry every other day is well fed. I think I am doing little acts of kindness everyday.

Thanks for those acts of kindness...
Thanks on behalf of that woman and all of those dogs who you feed.
Hey, you Mylotters... feeding animals in some cases, especially dogs and cats who are abandoned or in need, is a good thing... But don't feed the wild animals that should not be fed... like, for example, bears. That just makes them get too friendly towards people or too brazen and gets them hurt in the long run.
It is a great idea to make sure that those who help you, whether they are doing the wash, cleaning your house or doing gardening are well taken care of... They should not leave your house feeling hungry or thirsty if they are working for you.

I dont dit too much. But I worked in blood donation programmed and I also give blood. I worked to give clothes to poor people in my country during winter season and give medicines in rainy season when there is flooding here.
But everyday I give money to as much I can. I know how they are having their lifes.

Ah... You say you don't do too much but then... You mention that you give blood and to me that is such a big deal as I am such a wimp that I have a hard time even getting a blood test or even watching a movie with other people having medical work done...
You also give clothes and medicines and money to those who need it...
Sounds like you are helping a lot of people to me.
Hey you courageous MyLotters ... If you are more courageous than I am, you could donate a little blood to a blood bank and help a lot of people...
Donating money and medicine to charities that need them would also be a good idea.

Well everyday I go to work, I try to take a pocket full of change. Just a few coins for emergency money. But there have been a few times a little kid will come up to the counter and be a few cents short. I tell them not to worry about it. They are always so happy to be able to pay for their toy or candy. I guess I like to make other people smile.

I know that you brought a smile to my face when I read about your kindness to those children. It is the little things that count...especially for a child. Thanks for sharing your kind deed here.
MyLot Community,
Carry around a little change with you... You'll never know when a little kid will need help in this way.
