Watching movies in black and white is a thing of past and only few prefer to watch them still. I think there are some movie channels like TCM which still telecast some huge block busters every now and then. But its true Black and white movies were so good and great to watch.

It depends on. I haven't watched a lot of black and white movies. The best black and white movies I have watched are the Rome Holiday and The Diary of Anne Frank. Although there is a latest version of The Diary of Anne Frank which was filmed the recent years. However, it is not as good as the old version. Except for these two movies, I still prefer to watch the color movies since the special effects are important for me. I like to watch the new movie with big cast and budget. I love China

Hi dhawa, I too am a huge fan of good old black and white films , in any language for that matter. There is a kind of magic and mystique in the old films that is totally missing now. The other day I watched a very old black and white Japanese film with sub titles and found it very absorbing and interesting....all the best and have a nice evening

Yes TCM and MGM channels do play some excellent choice of B/W movies...I watch old hindi films too and find them far more interesting than the new films.I recently watched Raat Aur Din and Do Bigha Zameen...Honestly that era of film making and film makers are gone for ever...Enjoy your weekend

hi kiran, I wish some of the black and white movies I could see as i saw them with my dad in teenage days. Oh i miss them all. NO more b and white coming my way. Some times TCM and MGM might pop in some delectable movie of my choice. How about you, seem to be avid buff of B/W era!

I used to think they were boring and terribly racist but I gave this movie called Mildred Pierce a chance. That movie was so good!! So now every chance I get, I try to give black & white movies a chance..

I think the word is simplicity in Black and White. I love watching the three stooges which a lot are in black and white. Also, the Marx brothers movies, oh and lets not forget about Laurel and Hardy. Their comedy is so good you don't even notice the black and white movie. Did you ever see the first Cleopatra movie in Black and White? Thats different. I want to find Camille now and watch it as its in black and white.

thats fine, marie, it brings on my mind the finer moments of black and white motion pictures like laurel hardy and they not to forget Charlie Chaplin. Wow what classy movies were they!
