Today I went to my grandmother's house. I think she was expecting me to come also since my father informed her earlier and today also celebrates the birthday of my grandfather who is dead already. We went to the mall afterwards. I bought her a sandal so that she will have to use when she goes to mass. I also bought for her hair pins and other hair accessories. We went to the grocery area too so she can by the necessities.
This day was great because i was able to spend to it with my grandmother.

Hmmmm, it really great time to spend with your grandma. I feel so proud of you since there are many young girls who ignore their grandma and feel so shy spending their time together with grandma. Two thumbs for you, dear.
Your time with her would be so sweet and so valuable for her. It could decrease his loosing feel of her husband. Keep done it, she loves you so much and you don't know how long time you could do it with her before she goes to heaven, so enjoy this worth time.

I think some girls can really be so attached with their grandmothers, because she's the one who takes care of them, when their mother is so busy with their jobs. Hence, a special bond is created between the grandchild and the grandmother. So much so, that sometimes the grandchild is more attached to the grandmother than to her mother.

It depends my dear. There are some parents who leaves their sons and daughters just to their parents so that it will only them who will take care of them while other parents will leave their child to nannys. I remember before, it is more my grandfather who always takes care of me since my grandmother was busy in her business.

I don't feel shy being with my grandmother. I am her first and only granddaughter but we have an adopted child which could be considered too as her granddaughter. Also during the time I applied for EON account, in the bank I saw a grandmother with her granddaughter.

wow that was a great bonding. My grandmother is a bit lazy to go out. She only goes out in the street and to her sister's house which is just a few blocks away from our house. But one time we forced her to come with us in the Mall so we can have her eyes checked up. When we're there she said she just wanted to sit and wait for us. So we didn't really spend much time shopping and we decided to go home early.

We just have to understand some elderly people acting like that. They are already old that is why they can't get join with us directly with what we are doing. My grandmother was having a slight fever at that time but she said she can manage it. But before that I let him take medicine first.

Yes of course we should understand because my grandma is not used to going to malls too, even when she's younger. She's that kind who would rather be in the neighbors or sister's house than go somewhere else. She doesn't want to go up the escalator too She finds the mall too big. So most of the time she would not come with us when we go to malls. Your granny seems to really enjoy going out.

yeah, it really depends on the interest of the grandmother. If she is into shopping when she was younger, she would certainly love it still to shop. But then, because of old age, she cannot withstand going around the mall for a long time already.

I am so happy that you love & care for your grandmother so much, my friend. They deserve our love, because they have been there for us also when they were in their prime.
Now, it's our turn to return it to them.

Aww? it really is sweet of you to make time for her. I'm not close with my grandparents but my heart goes to all the elders. My grandfather in my dad's side is already 94. Whenever we have time, especially my dad, we would go to the province to visit him. I love to hang out with him whenever we are there though he asks my name again from time to time. I believe spending time with them is really a must and as we grow older, they are too and it's important to make every time that they are still alive to count. :) l
