My hands are freezing when I stay online very long.

I'm tempted to wear gloves to type. It's 66 degrees in here. My husband has it set for 68, so the heater just came on. So do your hands get cold when you do anything? Do you wear gloves or mittens indoors? Does your heater have a code so only one person knows how to change the temperature?

You mean your heating system has a code and you don't know it? I'd get that code..Of course our home doesn't really have a heating system. We have a baseboard in one bedroom, electric heaters in the other bedroom and bathroom and an edenpure for the living room and kitchen and though the bedrooms and bathroom are warm, the edenpure doesn't warm the living room/kitchen much. So that is when I started investing in finger-less gloves, because I have to do my school work and my fingers get cold when it is cold..Fortunately we are experiencing 50 degree weather right now..:)

Well that helps me make a decision about buying an EdenPure. I like to be a little on the cool side, personally, but that is where I am comfortable.

Hi Gerty. You also have to consider that we are using our edenpure to heat two big rooms, the living room and kitchen. If you were heating a smaller area, it would be perfect, but we would need two, one for each room.

He set it years ago. I would be surprised if he knew the code.

Heavens no! I have is at a comfortable zone so i am warm. I dress warm inside but i think the thermastat is set higher than 68. Does your husband work outside or in a nice office somewhere? I guess if I had to wear gloves I certainly would BUT I would also be finding that code!!

He works in a pretty cool temps warehouse, but the temps in the subway cars often get warm because so many people are working so fast.
He set the code years ago. I don't know if he knows it now!

My computer is upstairs, and we leave the temps up there at 66. Our thermostat is not programmable. It is not my hands that get cold, but my feet and legs. A sure sign that I should get up and move around. I have a wrist that gets sore and I will wear a wrist band that has copper woven into it.

I do not use the wrist bands all the time, and they are more for support. I have large bones and they are awful tight. I strained a wrist about a month ago, and this helps to keep everything in place. I just need to move more for my own health. I know you can buy heated slippers as well. I had a paraffin bath, but I got it out the other day and the on and off no longer work. Time to get a new one, but Wal Mart does not have them this year. I will look online. Warm you up and soften your skin.

My brother loves to pick up stuff on the side of the road that people are throwing out and ask if he can have it. He has fixed more things, esp. the on and off botton. His girlfriend loves it. They got a radio, stereo, massager, all kinds of stuff by just connecting a wire or finding two on the side of the road and finding one part to replace the other.
Hope your feet warm up soon. My hands are warm today.

I tried copper and magnetic wrist stuff. Made me worse . I don't think I need more weight on it.
Socks and shoes are all I need. Maybe you need fleece lined slippers?

I bought myself those gloves that leave the fingertips without gloves. They are wonderful for typing and they keep your hands warm. I bought several pairs when I went to the altiplano last year. They were very cheap and made with sofy alpaca wool. I don´´t have central heating, just a sove that won´´t help my hands get cold in Winter.

I'll have to look for those gloves. I had some years ago, but the first ones were heavy wool for outdoors and were too hot. Now they have some fleece onces that might be perfict.

Sounds like very nice practical presents that I'm sure were greatly appreciated.

I hope you find something like the ones I have. You will not get the kind I bought though: thet are made by the aimara indians in Bolivia and they are sold in the neighbor countries. Mine were about $2 each pair and I bought 3 pairs to give away as presents

hello,
Yeah, when it is cold here we dont have to wear any gloves because we enjoy it. It is ones in a year, so we have to enjoy it. We dont have heater here since it is always hot here. I think you better wear a gloves for your hands because you are having a hard time.

We have months of cold, so I'm sure you're correct. Only once a year it's cold. Must be kind of neat for you.

Where do you live? I am in Shanghai China, and it's cold here too. I always turn the heater to 26 Celsius degrees. And I am also a net potato. So I bought a mouse pad that can be linked to USB and get heated. I feel very confortable now. You can also buy one. I t's convinent.

I'm glad we do not have that kind of "cold" and when it's a little cool this time of year, it is always welcome, anyway I think freezing hands also has something to do with blood circulation, if I may suggest massaging it and applying some oil or liniment would help. Agree between your family members on what temperature the thermostat should be set that would be comfortable to everyone

My husband is always hot and I'm always cold, so there can be no agreement.
Must be nice to welcome cold. I used to as a teen. But with every operation, I get colder.
