bribery doesnt solve your problem

it is a real stroy about one of my neighbour. one of my neigh bour has a crime, drug abuse and money corruption in the company where he works. then he is catched by the police. his parents want to solve hime, saving him from the jail. i dont know how it happned, but his father gave the police 75 million rupiah (7500 dollars. it is very huge amount in my country, indonesia). but he is not freedor realesed by the police and his parents lost the money.
i think both of them are wrong, the police is corrupt, and the parents wanna do bribery too, and both accepting and bribing are breaking the law. so, never bribe the police

Wow it was a misfortune for them, still locked up in jail and lost a huge amount of money.. definitely a bad luck but it's good they will all gonna learn their lessons 
..sinful act should be punished and for me the parents should be also punished for consenting their child doing wrong acts, your neighbor should pay all his debt in jail... hope he'll change once he'll finished this assault

you'll be sorry in yourself if you knew that he's doing this but if not, don't feel guilty you have no idea what he's doing so you can't advice him... but if you knew this all along and still you didn't stop him i guess feel sorry for yourself not just because you didn't advice him but you became an instrument to consent his wrongful act

Things like this often happens. People who have money, do everything they can to avoid jail. As if all problems can be solved with money. The police are like that, also I used to hear. It's hard to be, enforce the law properly. Hopefully, we all could take a lesson from this incident. Money is always the cause, the law can not be enforced.

So bad luck. This is very rare. Either we lose the case if do not bribe or we win the case if we bribe. But this time they lose the case after bribing.
What I think is that they confided in some wrong person and paid carelessly. They should have paid someone who have got power or some high rank official.
But I totally agree with you (wulania), bribing is totally wrong because this inspire other to do more crimes. So truly said, Never bribe police.

This is common issue in Indonesia. Do you dare to report this case ? I think, the step that was taken less precise because it is too early. It should if it submitted in the prosecutor's, will be easier.

All of them has to be taught a lesson. Maybe someday. The one is already in prison. The parents have lost a huge amount of money and must be questioned for bribery. And the police must be put in jail to for accepting the bribe.

Do we want to live in a world that is clean, fair, and rewarding for hard work? I think most of the answers will be a resounding "yes!" But many of the people who say yes will just do something to hurt the dream world. A good world starts from all of us. If you hate corruption, you don't offer bribe to make corruption possible. If you like being treated fairly, don't jump queue in everything. If you hate injustice, don't go against the law in anyway, however small it may be.
