This is a video clip that was uploaded onto YouTube of a Fedex employee throwing a computer monitor over a homeowner's fence breaking the computer monitor in the process. The customer had a security monitor that captured it all so the homeowner then uploaded it onto YouTube. This is the news report on the Fedex employee. I would be so mad if this had happened to me. Good thing is that Fedex did take care of the customer which I'm guessing means that they replaced the computer monitor. Here is the link for the news report:

I just saw this video clip a while ago. I am really really disappointed to what happen. I want that person to be fired at once no explanation neccesary. Action speaks louder than words. Their are many people needs work who will take their work seriously not like the person on the video clip. Shame on him he doesn't know how to value his work.

Very well said. i couldn't agree with you more. your right with all the many people that are currently unemployed they would be grateful to have his job. I think Fedex is making a huge mistake by not firing this employee & giving his position to someone who would take pride in their work & be grateful for the opportunity to do so.

I was surprised to read that the FedEx said they would punish the employee and not let him go. Apparently people in management have different ideas, they wanted to transport him to a remote location unknown then video him apologizing but then others wanted to... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wO_MYX_Oto0&feature

Oh really? I must have missed that part. No, he should most definitely should be fired for that. Forcing him to apologize accomplishes nothing. He would only be doing it because (A) he got caught on video & (B) he doesn't want to lose his job. I think there should be no 2nd chances here. He should be fired.

It was probably smashed in the van already. Have you seen the way they toss the packets around while they look for the right label?
When I get a package I inspect the packaging before I sign for receipt and if I see damage then I get it noted before I sign.
Thankfully the quality of packaging is pretty good these days with lots of bubble wrap and air pillows so the goods make it through most time.
Travelling the last few feet by 'air mail', as seen in the clip, is just too much for any packaging to withstand!

Agreed.
I shudder to think of how many other parcels he has treated the same way. I imagine a whole trail of destruction left behind him!

Yes I agree. The article goes on to say that the monitor was indeed broken. You think that being a delivery man he would have more respect for people's things. How would he like it if someone did that to something he ordered online? I bet you he would be spitting mad then huh?

yes I caught that one and last night there was a new one of a UPS man doing the same thing.
I get a ham ordered in every year for Christmas and last night we heard one knock and before my husband and I could get up to get to the door, he was already back in his truck and leaving. My box was on the front porch. Sure glad we were home, Could you imagine the critters and dogs that roam loose having my dinner for theirs?
People are not as interested in jobs and performing a good job they just want the money.
I have heard that time and time again when I worked various positions.
Unfortunately I needed the money to assist with my children so I NEEDED the job.

OMG that very same thing has happened to me before too. I forget what it was that I ordered now, but the delivery man dropped it on the front steps of my house & hopped back into his truck. He never even bothered to ring the door bell. The only reason why I knew he came at all is because my dogs started barking like crazy so I looked out the window to see what they were barking at. I was so mad that I told my husband about it when he got home from work that night.

I think this is one of the beauty of CCTV or survellance camera which is helping you and I to get a video footage of some of the bad things that workers do to their innocent employer. The worker that is supposed to deliver this goods carefully seek a shorter cut by throwing this fragile electronics in such a manner that it eventually got damaged just because he thought his boss is not around to monitor him. Thanks to this spying eyes that captures the truth before the eyes of the world. Maybe, now is the right time for most company owner to watch the work habits of their workers. This is because many of them cheat on them and get paid and undeserved promotion. Some of them even embark on strike when the company just does a little thing they consider unpleasant to their working condition. Now, the truth of a bad worker is revealed. happy viewing of this cheating staff!

I agree. I say if you can afford to buy & hook up a security camera for your home then you should do so. It was a good thing that this homeowner had such a camera. Now there's no claiming that the homeowner himself broke his monitor & not the delivery man.

It really does make you think twice before ordering anything online or sending out any packages. I wonder just how many other times some other delivery men did this very same thing?

Yep. If it was a blanket or something like that fine no big deal, but a computer monitor?! My goodness what was he thinking or was he thinking at all. He most definitely deserves to lose his job for this.

oh my goodness gracious! i cant believe he did that... Fedex has a very good reputation when it comes to delivery... live to deliver, thats their slogan. The guy must be in some rot such that his job performance suffers. It is not that i am trying to side with the guy.. but it just isnt acceptable in any way or however you put it.
Life is hard lately. We should all love our jobs no matter how emotionally disturbed we can get.

Don't get me wrong I understand that he could be having a bad day. I mean we all get those, but we don't take it out on other people nor do we treat items that they paid for with their hard earn money like the way he treated this person's package. Like you said it's just not acceptable & regardless of what sort of day he was having he needs to either be suspended or fired altogether.

Yep that's it exactly. I'm sure he has a schedule that he has to keep in time with. Maybe he was running behind his delivery schedule & was in a hurry. Still that's no excuse for his behavior.

He should truly be fired for doing that. He certainly show know better than to treat merchandise like that, especially when it is so expensive and breakable!

My thoughts exactly. They said in the article that their intention is to find him & take disciplinary action. I for one hope they find & fired him in that order!

The express emplyee's service is much bad now. In China, most of express employees don't call the customer when they delivery it. And the service attitude is too bad, don't answer your question. Don't try to help you to resolve problem. Don't delivery it on time. Throw the package without care. Never care about if the package was damaged. Don't take response. There are so many bad thing for express now. Hoping the goverment can punish this!!
