is ballroom dancing dying in your place?

This is what they are saying in our place, that the interest and enthusiasm for ballroom dancing has waned. Is this true in your place? They say it is because of economic crisis, that it is an expensive hobby or exercise. What do you think? Dance instructors charge too high and venue rental for such an event is also way too high. Do you think that the new generation of dance enthusiasts should keep it alive?

I think it's not a problem of economic crisis. We have much more much interesting things to do than dance. The PC , PlayStations ,mobiles are killing the ballrooms.Lets try to dance and talk with your friend by mobile ,for example ;) .

That's not real dancing. People who love ballroom dancing do not like to go to play stations so they are two different things.
