Hi, Mylot friends,
Since I have moved to the UK I haven't found a proper job yet. I want to spend more time on the studying of English. During the time I want to find my future ideal job I want.
So I would like to hear your opinion. I would like to know What your current occupation is and do you like that. What do you do to get the job? Thanks.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year 2012 to all of you.

I'm working as an English teacher right now. I don't hate it, but I'm not too passionate about teaching either.

I can understand aja's feeling. To many people working is a way to make living. It's the fact the world give us.
It's a very ideal situation to work for yourself or do what you like to do and make decent money to live.
From my experience I have never found a job i really love or like. so it's the reason i gave up at last. Can't find any motivation to do it.

I'm still in college but I do part time blogging and mylotting so as to acquire a little bit of cash. I like doing these kind of things because it allows me to interact with other people from all over the globe and it also gives me the chance to hone my english proficiency skills for future use on interviews when I graduate from college.

I am working, so each month I have a stable income. I am paid each month. So far, I am happy with my work and the people who work in the company around me. I wanted to quit because I don't like my supervisor, he is a good person but he is not good as leader. He talked too much and not disciplined in terms of word. There is a time where you really like your job and not.

For the time being I also do some online work to make some money to survive. However it's not enough. I think I still need to find a proper job. Then my online income would be an extra that can be used for my travel.
if you do like your job you shouldn't quit just due to the surpervisor. The lesson I have learnt from my life is not try to change your surpervior or leave a job because of it. In most situation we can't choose our supervisor. Try to find some thing from him that you like.

We have a similar situation and also we have similiar hobby. In fact I don't look for a job for the time being, as I know the situation for employee is not very good. So it's kind of wasting time.
I use the time to study english and try to write more to make money. I also do some surveys then it can help me to know more about outside world.
If you want to know some writing websites I can give you some information and hope it would be helpful.

hi, i work full time and these days i am learning a new concept which is very interesting. When there is something new I like the work but at the same time there are occasions that I really wished to sit back at home and just spend my days with children & family. I know we need work for a living and it is tough to find the job so we settle for something better than nothing.

I agree with you that it's tough to find a job due to the financial crisis in the world.
Before I didn't realize it. Now life teaches me the lesson. I'm lucky I have some savings that can support me when I have no job to do for the time being.
I also think when we have work to do we should try to learn something new in that.So we would never be outdated.

I work as an IT support for an international company that currently has 30K+ employees. The work is stressful but I don't complain, instead I embrace it because everyday it gives me an opportunity to learn. If I am not in this field, I would like to be a farmer or create my own business that is related to books or plants :)

I understand your feelings. Working for IT company could be very stressful, however you also have chances to learn the new trend in your industry. I like the feelings.
If I don't think too much I would like to have my own business, such as to open a book shop or sell flowers. Very similar like you. When I read your reply I smiled. How interesting. We have very common idea about the business we want to have.

i am currently new in the work, just barely 6 months but so far i am enjoying my stay here. i could say that most of the time there are fun in work and i enjoy the work as i am challenged much by the amount of times and effort i have to put in it for a completion. downside is the benefits which is nada. i guess though because the place is convenient i think i might still consider renewing my contract here in my work.

I understand your feeling about your job. I have had the similar experience when I started my first job.
You are young so you have many choice in your life. I think for the time being money should not be the first choice for you. You can find a job that can bring you a good future and can make you learn something. One day if you are very familar with your industry money would come to you.
Have a very brilliant 2012.

Interestingly I have worked for civil aviation for over 10 years too. I have done a research job for my government. I also have had many connections with airlines.
From what you said you must be a very open person and easygoing too. I think I should learn from you. I'm not very open sometimes I'm a little difficult to deal with( in some people's eyes).
Thanks for reply and hope you have a brilliant 2012.

I moved here too about 9 years ago. And when I got here, I was optimistic in finding my 'ideal job'. But in the course of looking for my ideal job, I ran out of money, and I had to get a job, any job, that could pay the bills. I struggled for a couple of years from one temp job to another, while I took courses at night.
Currently I'm in the career I wanted, in a job with some responsibilities.

Good luck to you too.
I'm impressed by your confidence and positive attitude. I should say it's really good to be a young.
However i would like to say the first job in our life is not very important sometimes. You can have more chance to know the world and to compare different jobs. Finally you would find one you really like and enjoy it.

Currently, I am still a student particularly a college student. When at vacation time, I put a full blast of attention to online jobs. I am enjoying it a little bit. I learn new ideas through online jobs. I became aware also of the internet world. Furthermore, I gain many friends also through online jobs.
