I always think that till now why haven't facebook tried to include some customized themes for its user. Unlike Gmail, Orkut and Twitter, facebook is only available in blue with simple backgroud. Theme feature is pretty basic now a days for almost all popular websites. Twitter also has a feature to set custom backgrounds. What do you people think ???

I think facebook doesn't need themes. People are used to facebook the way it is, some people hate too much designs on their webpage. Those are to be considered.

I totally agree with you. I also donot like too much designs and customizations.
But I think a little Colour customization would be nice. What say you??

This is a really good point i have also thought that facebook's pages are a bit boring and the blue and white looks terrible. There should be a customize feature on the page a bit like myspace. You could pitch it to facebook in the form of a group and see if you get like minded people to become members that way facebook will take note.

Themes are insignificant for me. It is okay to have no theme. What matters to me is the true essence of Facebook. Facebook is for socialization purposes. It is a social networking site. It does not need an fancy design or layout or anything as long as it serves its purpose very well. If Facebook will adopt also those themes, I am pretty sure that many of users browsing experience will be slow.
