Stress free vacation...

Been to an Island where there is no electricity and no cell phones. The mode of transportation are motor boats or paddle boats, horses and carabaos (water buffalo). Me and my friends went to a part of Sarangani Island where technology is a luxury.
It is there that I see the stars just above the coconut trees. We wake up early in the morning to the sound of the water splashing at the beach.(Cleanest beach I've ever been to). Watch the sun rise that looks like the sunset. We played games, did rock climbing, swimming of course. At night, we would gather around the fire to hear stories and we also sing songs. While we were there, none of us ever touched our cell phones, or bother to look at the time.
A stress free vacation, Have you ever been to one?

hi bambee!
I envy you for getting an opportunity to spend your vacation at such a beautiful place............lol!
I wish I could also go to such an island or a hill station, where there would be complete piece, no noise or air pollution. Where we could spend our days peacefully without the intervention of technology.
I have not spent my vacation at such a place, so far.

hello dpk..
Well, maybe soon if you get time off from work you can visit the nearest nature parks in your area. Don't bring your cell phone or laptop, bring a book instead. It might not be a vacation but you can spend your day without any distractions. :)

I've missed one vacation we're supposed to go. It's a remote island which my brother told me there'd be no network for cellphones too and no electricity. Not even a nipa hut was there and we just need to have a tent to take with us and build there. But it was cancelled because of the typhoon it hit that place last year.
From your story, I can really see how stressful it is indeed going to that place.

Oh yes, I did... Before a couple of months our team in the office went for an outing... The place is only 30 kms away from here... There was no network for cell phones... We stayed in cottages and cooked on fire made using dry wood... I wanted to go hunting, but we didn't have weapons LOL... But we were close to nature and away from the stress... I loved those two days... It was the best time ever...

Spending some time in nature is always relaxing and a joy of its own kind. I myself love going to some beautiful hill station and to forget all worries of job or work. This I think is the best way to relax and recreation.

Aww... I have not been to one of such island vacation which is totally stress free. I would want to do so if I have the chance. Me and my girlfriend is actually planning for a trip on one of the Island around, Redang Island. However, I believe that there will still be people, cell phones etc there. Never really get to spend with the nature alone huh?

We go on a Jamaican vacation every year. The island resort is beautiful. It's definitely stress free, but I do have to admit it has internet access and I do use it. So it's not as if I'm dropping our of modern society or anything like that.

I have been to such but the only difference is that there was a good room with electricity and there was also a good restaurant. But aside from that all were natural. No signal on cellular phone, no television, no internet. It is definitely great since I enjoy more the nature. I am talking about Camotes Island in Cebu. There is a lake where you can paddle a boat, there is also a cave to explore and many other things. But what I love more is the sea and white sand beach. Definitely relaxing. I am glad that you were able to enjoy and had such adventure. I hope one day, I will be able to visit the island that you have mentioned.

The best time to visit Sarangani is usually in the summer months when the waves are not so big.
I've seen Camotes Island only in pictures and I wanna visit the place. My brother in law said the place is super nice. Maybe sometime soon when I get to visit Cebu again, I hope.
Thank you and happy holidays.

How luxurious such vacation can be, stress free, and you don't have to worry those phone calls, to call you up to work, to remind you to pay bills, and to call you to be on time. I would love to join such vacation somewhere, and I definitely will sign up for it. Away from my busy life, and away from everyone.

I had one in my childhood. We went to some nearby tourist place which was more of a hilly area. Whole class of 30 students brought there different varieties of eatables and games. We shared them all and I remember eating some 20-25 different varieties of food and played around 10 interesting games. Dancing and Singing all the time. It was a holiday once in a life time. Unforgettable. Those were some days.
