I saw one facebook user that offers a homebased job written few details on his wall.At first,I called him "as she or her" because the picture on his profile is a very pretty face of a girl.He answered me, sorry, I am not a girl!.
Have you tried to use any profile pic just to attract the viewers or how you choose your profile pic?

Well put whatever picture you want online, as long as it is the same gender as you. It is going to lead to less confusion if nothing else. There are going to be a lot of times where people are going to judge a person based off of a picture. And often times because of a user name, but if you're going to use a picture, at least have it of someone of your own gender, if you're not going to use yourself.
I'll never put a picture of myself online ever. And I feel saddened that some people feel the need to do. Then again, that is just really the nature of the beast. Still an attractive woman will get the eyeballs. That's just the lot of life that we have, the society that we are going to in fact live in. I don't really use any real people for profile pics anyway, myself included.

LOL, that's hilarious. I use facebook to get it touch with my friends so I don't use fake photos. Why would a guy use a photo of a girl on his profile page is beyond me.

Many people on MyLot and elsewhere do it. Indeed, your own seems to be not of yourself but of some Muslim child who had no say in the fact that her image was widely published in 2005 and later. As one person who published the image has said: "And another child gets pulled into the politics of war..."
What have you to say about that, I wonder? Isn't it just the same thing to recruit a child's image to suggest your political/religious beliefs as to publish the image of some pretty actress to attract customers to your page?

I do hope, by the way, that you see my point, feel ashamed and change your avatar as soon as possible!

I want to correct whoever that said "And another child gets pulled into the politics of war..."
Wearing a hijap or being Islamic is never political until people, muslim terrorists and non muslims make it so. Wearing a hijap is like a nun wearing a habit in a public place. You do not tell a nun to take off her habit, do you?
A muslim child wearing a hijab is also like a christian child singing carols. There is nothing wrong in thrusting our beliefs on them, is there?
BTW my image is even worse, I want to make lots of money. But I believe mine is a legitimate way so I see nothing wrong in it.

MomOf3Kids, I completely agree that wearing a hijab is a cultural (and incidentally religious) custom which France was entirely wrong to legislate against. A picture of a child wearing a hijab is not offensive in any way and nor does it make a political statement. The difference in this case is that the child wears a notice (in English, interestingly) which makes a political statement. It is NOT just a picture of a pretty child in a hijab. The child is being used as an instrument - as a weapon, in effect - presumably by her parents or with their permission. That is morally wrong.
My second (and main) point is that Zearah is using this image - which may or may not be of her own child, though I suspect that it is not - in a similar way to the people she is complaining about. It is true that she does not claim (implicitly or otherwise) that the image is of her. Doubtless she chose it to make the point that she is Muslim and wears her hijab with pride (and I see nothing wrong with that at all and, indeed, respect and uphold it) but, as I explained above, the image was ill-chosen and, besides, is NOT hers to use! Although it is widely published, it was presumably taken by a press photographer and is therefore actually copyright to the photographer or the agency.
I have no issues with your image, by the way, MomOf3Kids. You created it (therefore it is yours to use) and it simply makes a statement. It doesn't seek to attract people by falsely pretending that you are someone you are not (which is what the main topic of discussion is). In fact, it just tells us unequivocally about one of the things you do.

Hiya zearah,
Facebook can be a bit of a bind to find a Photo that looks okay without it being a really personal one as well.
The one I have on my profile for example is of us both together and I never gave it another thought I have not changed it as to yet.
Could some of the Faces be dummy? Well I don´t know I do not think there is any real way of knowing it unless they are using a Photo that is seen around the internet a lot don´t you think?
I only upload photos of mine that are of an impersonal nature really or copies of photos but I don´t upload too many of those most of them are neutral photos like I mentioned that are not dummy but anyone can copy them I don´t really care if they do.
However I do have Photos that are too personal to put on there and they will never find there way there either.
Perhaps the Girl could be his Sister, Niece who knows?xxx

Good question!!
No I do not use a pretty face there. Even I am not using my face!! (I am dashing I tell you!) And you know my girl gets many many friend requests too, for she is a beauty. Now, pretty faces attract, But you can differentiate between the real and the dummy faces, almost all the time. I can do it!!!

I don't have any faces on my facebook profile because I really don't like to show my face to other people I don't know. The only time when I put a pic on is on the special event like mothers/fathers day, my parents birthday, etc. or on those days where they made us put a picture of our favorite cartoon character when we were young to represent something about those kids in need.

I have changed mine twice. Both times trying to attract people into my money making programs. But I am making money so I see nothing wrong in my image if it succeeds in recruiting someone. BTW this is not my idea. I must give credit to a mylotter who has done this and given me the idea.

actually the same question popped in my mind too why these people do so, did they do not have mind thing that their this kind of behaviour ruins the time of the other peoples. they do not know the value of time. i mean how can be so stupit that they make just face account for the shake of selfinterest
