hi bunnybon oh thats just awfull, if I wereyou I would have called the cops as drunk like that he might have hurt your daughter. Thank you Hatley. Needless to say it was definitely interesting when a few of us had laryngitis. But, the lemon juice from the bottle really worked. I don't know how much of it you can have with your diabetes. I know the honey probably would not be a good thing. But some put it in tea with lemon too. hi lovinangelsinstead21 I am feeling so much better and I think the Comtrex my son bought me has done the trick. I am still coughing but my sore throat and sore eyes are done and I think I will live. lol lol Oh and I have my voice back too.Happy New year to you and yours.

hi lovinangelsiknstead21 oh yes I got a won derful new mouse thats so easy to use.,My friend Nelda called me yesterday and her voice is still awful . she has the same bronchitis that I had but is taking different cold medications., Her doctgor put her on antibiotics so I guess she got the bug worse than I did. I was going to see my doctor but the comtrex my son got me really did help a lot.So I will see him next week for my yearly half hour check up.Happy Newyear and hope it brings only good for you and yours.

Hiya Hatley, Now so good to hear that you are feeling much better after all that. A lot of People are coming down with second colds and quite bad ones. So now you have your voice back at least you will be able to chat to your Friends on the Phone again Nelda included. Oh yes the sore eyes mine were sore for a Day or two as well. hi louieville Yes I think I got careless and I went to TGrager shopping and the store was wall to wall people also shopping and among all those someone gave me a nice mean little virus As its been more wicked than a cold, I think its just a different strain of the flu. but it's viral so my doctor could not do me any good. I have been drinking more fluids and taking Ibuprofen 'and Benadryl. At least the sore throat is gone so maybe I will be better by Christmas. lol Merry Christmas

hi chang I am now over it almost , just the cough. my son brought me some Comtrex on Christmas day and its really helped me.I had the old fashioned flu for sure. My son spent Christmas day with me which made me very happy and now I am looking forward to New Year's Eve. Have a wonderful New Year Chang.

hi chang thats interesting I have not known too much about Chinese medicine but a fellow coworker I once worked with used those medicines and she seldom ever had any trouble with viruses. Its great to have effective treatments without side effects. I had to be taken off one diabetes medication because of the side effects. they caused me to have a very bad fracture of the shoulder as the side effects had caused bone loss in my shoulder so that the bones were not just broken and could be set, but they were crushed making me to have to have an artificial shoulder joint.That surgery caused me to lose most of the use of my left arm. now I cannot raise my arm far enough to comb my hair or fasten my bra.

She's still on the trachea tube, so she isn't able to eat. They are getting her out of bed and sitting up, but she's not being the most co-operative... I keep telling her she has to work hard so she can go home.

hi ElicBxn poor Maggiepie wow shes really got it bad. She is one of a kind is she not? I used to love her discussions as she always'made me smile. she was so sassy.I can imagine for a person like her its really tough being ill but like you say she needs to work with them if she wants to go home.I know with very large people the more they can be up and off their backs the faster 'they can heal. I worked for years as a enures aide and learned so much not taught in schools from the nurses, doctors, and patients too. As a bigger person,I weigh too much 198 that our weight makes things more difficult.but my doctor was puzzled for so long over my having trouble losing weight and finally decided to have me checked for thyroid trouble.he was right. I have low thyroid so am now on medication.,so fare I have come from 208 down to 198 so am hoping 'to get to 150 and see myself without cringing at how I look.

hi ElicBxn I guess it was my turn as I got the whole thing, bronchitis and flu sore throat and finally sore eyes. my son brought me some comtrex and the stuff really worked. even my sore eyes are gone and the bronchitis is better, no more sore throat.I did enjoy Christmas anyway as my son spent the 'day with me.. hi CatzandDogs no wonder I have not seen you lately. Yous lost your dad. I can see how you hate having your mom be all alone. My c ondolanceds on your loss. this also hit me just all of a s udden withj a bab headache then next day my throat was awful ., its clearned up sinxe then but now I am coughing,its in my chest and my eyes are affected, they are red and I keep tearing like I am crying. But the tears burn an sting my eyelids. I am not sure I am going to be over this by Christams but we will just do the best we can.although I had a fl shot in October this seems like a bad case of the flu with aches and bronchitis and I lost my voice to boot. Also my voice is gone and my eyes are now sick too with tears coming out and making my eyelids sore. some flu. just hope I can feel a little better by Christmas. I am indeed a wealhty woman as I watch my friends here struggle with their wheelchairs, and remember those who just co uld not make it and am so grateful I am alive, not on a ventilator and looking forward to a new Christmas here and so m any hopes for the future.Merry Christmas to you.

hi celticeagle oh I got some comtress from my son and its ally helped me so much I had the old fashioned flu and I had had a flu shot in October too. so guess this is another strain yet but the sore throat and sore eyes are gone but the cough does linger. No more fever and no more aching. I had a lovely Christmas in spite of being ill and now I am feeling great again. happy New Year

hi Pointless Questions so its a flu strain not like the flu shots'so that e xplaiuns why we feel so lousy. now its in m y voice and in my eyes. I look like I have been bawling but I haven't of course. And when I talk I have t o try to clear my throat and repeat all I have said then its still not really clear.lolYes in my chest too and I keep coughing. hi savak oh my just remembered we had carolers here from a high school and I and another lady were seated up front. several of the kids close to us were coughing so thats where I could have got the flu. It was not over by Christmas but I still enjoyed the day as my son brought me some comtrex and that did help my virus a lot. Now I am feeling human again and ready for New Years' eve.

hi bounce when I fell and twisted my knee it took about 20 days of physical therapy and being off my knee for that time.The comtrex my son got for me has really helped me to get a lot better. I have my voice back but my friend Nelda is still really bad her voice made my throat hurt when I heard her. she called to tell me how she was doing and to find out how i was. I think I got the better medication of the two of us as my voice is back and I feel so much better now. even my eyes have cleared up too.She went to her doctor and he put her on antibiotics as she has bronchitis really bad. mine is almost gone except for the cou hing.Hope your knee gets a whole lot better before New Year's eve. lol
