Virus is common issue on the laptop or computer. There are many antivirus for free, but with low protection. Just select it random first, and scan your laptop....if the antivirus did not work or clear for scanning, they just alert...about virus on the laptop but not cleaned or deleted but they tell you about name and kind of the viruses, then you just search another antivirus to clean it.

Choosing an antivirus depends on your PC's capabilities, just like the amount of ram you have. If you have a 4gb ram or higher, and your computer is fast then you can try BitDefender2012 as it is the top antivirus I heard from the Internet. But if you have lower, you can go with Kaspersky, Eset or Vipre Antivirus. From my own experience, I have tried Vipre and I can say that it's definitely a very light antivirus. Its automatic scan does not even eat my computers memory because I have set it in "scan at lower priority". But now I switched to Kaspersky, which has more features at a lesser memory consumption. Well to sum up, my opinion is that the most important thing at having an antivi is not the brand, but how updated the virus database is.

yeah you are right.. it's almost same difficult.. you can go for kaspersky if it's affordable for you.. it's around 10$ single user license.. it's also one of the best antivirus available.
