I think I'm born a few 100 years too late . . .

As funny as this may sound, I'm very serious.I would've liked the nomadic-caveman kind of living. No maintenance, hunt, kill and eat, find a shelter and live there. And the adventures of hunting.
Not that I'm lazy (Which I am), but I can pretty much do without having to dress myself, look good, take care of my hair and what not.
I guess that's why I think I don't belong here, I rarely dress up well, I hate having my hair in order (So, I shaved it off, no seriously I did), I have worn the same pair of shoes for about 5 years in a row (And still going strong), and I can go on and on and on with it.
Hope you are getting my point.

i would quite like to have been in a different time, though i am not sure when. modern life sometimes seems so trivial, as it focuses on the materialistic, and of course worrying about how you look is very trivial.
but unfortunately you don't live in neolithic times, and being a caveman is just not an option, though it may be the self sufficiency that attracts you, as being a caveman is a very independent way of life, but i'm only guessing there.
so maybe if you can work out what it is that makes you long to be a caveman then maybe you can find a way to harness whatever aspect of you it is that longs for that sort of lifestyle, in a way that allows you to live happily in the modern world.

don't be so negative, it could be that the skills you acquired might mean you are the only human survivor of the end of the world, if it arrives on schedule.

Nomadic cave man! How silly! Do you know that cave men had a life span of 30 years (if they were lucky and didn't get killed by a cyber toothed Lion. They had no clothes except some animal skins to keep them warm while they hunted dangerous animals in the cold winter, with a sharp stick and a stone knife. Shoes did you say? Try moccasins with no socks!

Nomadic caveman? How far back are we talking here? XD Perhaps you mean a few thousands, people were already concerned about how they dressed in this millenia lol no matter how far you go back a few "hundreds". I'm sure you'd be able to live that sort of lifestyle if you decided to become a hermit and live in the middle of nowhere in some island perhaps if you can find one that's uninhabited and uncharted. Because if you isolate yourself you don't have to worry about caring what people thought about you

The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence, but is it really? The first time you needed a doctor or dentist, reality would set in. Further, the first bad day hunting might leave you hungry. No handy dandy supermarkets around. Lots to think about.

I guess in this day and age, many people are getting the pressure to be sophisticated or to be adaptedable to many circumstances. Sometimes, gone are the days of leisure and less pressure. Life is a never-ending competition and to get a the so-called 'good life' - on e must be able to compete as the other person.
Like you. I wish I have been born in some point of history when I can imagine my version of a good life. If I did in those ti,mes, I know I would be giving up some liberties I enjoy today like the respect, the skill and being a competent human being (I don't with to be treated to an object because of my gender).
I get your point but sometimes,. some people don't see other people's POV and opinion other than their own.

It will be great to imagine but stone age is not better than this. Watching adventures in TV or cinema or in others life may be interesting but Living that life may not be interesting (may be interesting for some people).
Like you, I like to be born before this technology age, though technology helps a lot in life.
IMO, This age is better than stone age, try to take positive things from this life and live happy.
Have a good time...

I get your point perfectly.
For me, it's not that I don't like today's society and ways of living, but I wish I had been born in the 1920's or 1930's in the US.
That era just amazes me, and I can't seem to like the music from today even just a little bit, and I love the music from that time.
It's not quite the same as your situation, I just thought I'd share that.
