Should Hip Hop be called Rap or visa versa?

as everyone know Rap stands for Ryhme and Peom and that is exactly what they do in hip hop, but why is it called hip hop. Should it or should it not be called Rap?

Rap is more commecial...hip hop is more like the most real form...

ya but on a lot of songs you will see in the genre catagory Rap/Hip Hop
