i talked about in another discussions that i did help a poor person that used to live in our house before when i was a kid. he came at our door few days back with dirty clothes and dirty feet. he walked so slowly and speak so slowly and looked old. but i found it when he came back this day that he could walk fast and speak fast like he used to. although he did looked much older now. but still i discoverd he did fake those slow movement and slow speech before on his first visit. so that we would pity him although we still pity him for he is old now and don't have much money, but he did try to act a part that he is much weaker than he is actually . that was why i gave him 1,000 pesos or abouy $25. that is quite a big amount already for him to spend on for few days. and i gave some nice clothes to wear for a week. and he said that his son could not eat on its own. although his son is indeed retarded at 25 years old but still the kid was strong and can walk on its own. although needed to watch over so he won't cross the street by himself as he is careless.
we offered him our house, an old house to live to, a different house that we stay now. but now we discovered he doesn't want to live in that house because he won't have a chance to make money there. he just wanted to stay on the community or place he stays at although, although they just sleep in the street but he can make money there or some work there .
now instead of the house, and the money his relatives would give him weekly if he stays there, he just want to ask $100 so that he can start his own business in the street, selling cigarettes and newspapers. he will just make his own newspaper cart, which he can use to sell hot coffee also to passers by. although i do have some that he would actually use the money to start that small business.
and we still gave him about $13 this day because it is christmas. only that i discovered he has not changed till now. he is still the same person that try to trick people. although i am happy to find out that he can still walk normally and walk or move around normally, without much difficulty. he is still strong enough to work .

Hello Hotsummer,
I understand how much bad one feels when he/she is cheated by someone whom he/she has helped.
But i think you must pay him at least $100 for the last time too and pray he gets success in his business.May be he does not want to take money from his relatives.

actually the house where we are offering the house is near our relatives. so our relatives would find out sooner that he is just faking his sickness. so maybe that is why he didn't want to live there anyway.

Well, you have to be careful, I guess in whom you help. There are people who will take advantage of one’s good nature to help. I think, though, that if you bless someone with your help, that you will be blessed by God for your efforts. I say this, so that anything you do for someone else is not in vain.

I have met some fake behaviour like the one you told me. In Jakarta, and perhaps in many other countries, there are countless hobos pretending to be ill by changing his or her look. So I am not surprised when you told me about it.
In the city where I live those people with fake behaviour (pretending to be poor and weak) are always gathering at the gate of mosques every Friday in the hope that people who go praying will pity them by giving them some money.

I can understand how you feel. I have an adage that I live by, perhaps it will help you with this in the future. I will help those who try to help themselves. If you are trying to trick or con me, do not come to me for help. I am able to recognize those who try. It is sad that some people enjoy living like that. However, I respect your kindness to this person nonetheless....Merry Christmas!

well theres some people that they live their lives by fooling others. well theres a saying that instead giving them fish why not teach them how to catch a fish instead. just do hope someone could talk to him straight about what he is been doing. maybe he keeps doing it because he thought no ones reacting or something thats why.
