When will you remove the Christmas tree?

I know that everybody will prepare for the Christmas tree before Christmas. However, I am curious when will the Christmas tree be removed? I think it will be too short if it will be removed after Christmas. Perhaps you will keep it until the New Year?

What a very nice question! I wonder also when could we possibly remove our Christmas trees! Our Christmas tree is still here and we didn't touch anything yet to keep it. We still have New year, so maybe it will stay there until January.

Ah, yes the Christmas tree. I usually take it take it down when I am festived out. I take the wreath off the door and the knocker. Then I thake the decorations down around the house. And usually the last week of December or the first of January the tree comes down.

The Christmas tree and decorations have to removed by the 12th night, which is 6th January, so you can take it down any time between Christmas and this date. You don't have to take it down on 6th you can do it before but it is considered unlucky if you leave it up after 6th. To be honest once the New Year is hear I do not want to see the Christmas tree up any longer, it's sad, all that preparation and Christmas is over, but it looks so bear when the Christmas tree is taken down. Happy New Year to you and your family.

The tradition is to keep it up until New Years. It is suppose to be bad luck if you take it down before New Years. In my family they would keep the tree up until my birthday which is January 7th.

I used to hear that when I was a child too. We kept ours up until the day after New Year's Day.

I took mine down the day after Christmas. I usually leave it up longer than that but my daughter and granddaughter moved in here and I needed the extra room the tree was taking up.

I have no christmas tree to remove, I am Christian but my religious sect dont happen to believe in Christmas(yeah I know it sounds weird to see Christians not celebrating Christmas but they exist.I mean some Atheist celebrate Christmas), so I grow up in a different belief. yeah iknow my lifestyle sounds boring and not entertaining at all. Those trees are pretty though. I wish people will not use real trees. They dont need to cut trees to have a Christmas tree.

We'll probably take it down sometime before January 6th. We like to have it up, but it does take up a lot of space and it really is just for Christmas time.

Supposedly, propriety says the Christmas tree can be displayed up to New Year's day without it being a faux paus. My sister takes hers down the day after Christmas, but I usually wait until New Year's Eve.

If I were you, I prefer to keep the Christmas tree after the New Year. After all, you have spent such a long time preparing for such a beautiful tree.

Hi youless, and Season's Greetings to you & yours! We didn't even put up a Christmas tree/decorations, so I guess there's nothing to clean up. What I know is families have different rules/beliefs regarding when to set up & take down their trees. It all depends on whenever you decide. (Did you know, Orthodox Christians don't even celebrate Christmas until January? So, if they put up a tree for the season, it won't come down until maybe early February).

I usually take my tree down the day after New Year's day. It was traditional in my family when I was little to wait until then and it is a tradition that I have carried on.

Yeah it would be too short if you would easily remove it after Christmas. Usually we remove it after the Chinese New Year. So, by that time, it would be February.

I do hope I could have Christmas tree also. We did not prepare Christmas tree for this Christmas. Next Christmas, I do hope we could put one in order to truly feel the spirit of Christmas. The important thing to me at the moment is that I stay with my family. I share my time with them. I think, I am complete with it.
