I am not a Christian, but each Christmas morning I spend a few hours remembering what this morning means to so many others and what a change it brought to the world.
No matter what your feelings about Christ everyone must admit that he changed the world, at many times this has been a painful change, do to humans main influenes, called greed and ego. But the commandment to love one's neighbor and treat each other as we would ourselves can't help but give us all guidence for our lives. If we can finally get this right just think what the world would be. Blessing and Merry Christmas to all.

The very essence of Christmas is Christ. It is remembering Christ, the greatest gift of all. God the Father His own beloved son Jesus to redeem this world from sin so that those who would believe and accept Him as Lord and Savior will be saved.
Nothing can replace this very reason why we have to celebrate Christmas and because of this the world should rejoice in celebration. We give gifts not because we want the world to know we are generous but because we want the world to know that just like God we also do know how to give just as Christ who gave His life for us. We can never surpass the greatest gift of all but we can always follow His examples.

Merry christmas to you also. I know that christ existed and I also know he was somewhat of a revolutionary. He did seem to go against the grain of the way things were then. Now as far as greed and ego go, we are living in the biggest greediest world ever. I am not religious and I cannot fall for all that supernatural stuff. But, anyway, enjoy your holiday.

Hello and Happy Christmas. Among all the commandments given by Christ I just wish everyone on this earth would follow the commandment of Loving one's neighbours. Irrespective of whether they follow Christianity or not. This would would then be a more peaceful planet without any violence.

You dont need to be a christmas to understand the meaning of christmas. As long as you know the spirit of giving, sharing, and loving then that's the true meaning of christmas. Its about sharing your goodness, happiness, and blessings to those who are less fortunate.

Hi savypat, I couldn't agree more. If only people lived as Jesus taught it would be a wonderful world. Even though his teachings have been twisted around, the things you mention still remain and have helped to bring about many changes. The world is much better today than it was two thousand years ago. Blessings.

We all have different views of Christmas. As a Christian, I believe in the importance of celebrating Christmas because as what the preacher has told us when I attended a mass this evening, he said this day marked the day when the word was made into flesh. I am grateful for this day has come. Everyone must rejoice.
