How can girls do this?

There is this reality show that's on air. So the concept is, that a guy who had a crush on a long time friend, gets to confess his love for her and then it is her choice if she wants to stay with her present boyfriend or ditch him for this friend of hers.
In about 7 episodes, 6 have left their present boyfriends.
Thinking that this reality show is real, why do you think girls would do this? Because the guy is her long time friend? Or coz he got her on T.V.? Too bored with the present guy? Or coz he did all the flashy stuff of a reality T.V. for her?

To begin with, I don't think that the whole set up is fair. I don't think that the guys doing this, the guys who are confessing there "love" don't really love the person because unless you know that the girl is unhappy then you don't have the right to do that.
True love is not selfish and would sacrifice for the people they love. I don't really know what the girls are thinking. Maybe it is just spur of the moment thing. I just don't like the whole concept of it.

I don't think a girl who has any feelings for other people and for herself would go on a show like this. No really nice person would do that to another person thank heavens I believe in Karma because I think that sort of thing is just cruel.

Somehow I found those girls born after 1990, or the generation Y, they are more often changing their boyfriends than not. I don't know if that is a true, but through my observation, and what I saw, they won't simply stick in one relationship for a guy, maybe they might not find the real love, until then, they would ditch whoever make them bored.

I don't know whether it's for the show or not, thinking that they are viewed on local television ( sorry, I assumed it's air on TV)and as you have said it's a reality show. So, there are no scripts being read and the contestants acts on their own. And what they have said is final, that's it, no cut because the contestants must act and say what comes to their mind.
I don't like the concepts of reality shows, like you said in 7 episodes, 6 guys have left their present partners. Is the show about break ups or how to test you loyalty to your boyfriend/girlfriend? I don't know, but I don't like reality shows.

I reckon it's all for show buddy I don't think they even become together after the show is done, it's all fun and games, in it for the money really. I don't like reality shows, they're really pointless and have no real meaning, it totally does not relate to reality really. Don't blame the girls, it's not their fault. It's just the show is dumb. Probably all pretend and the girl's just doing it to just be on TV and earn some cash from it. The friend probably doesn't even like her. But really even if it is real, why would a girl do that? Why dump the guy you've been for a while and publicly humiliate him and go with your friend who apparently loves her. I don't think it's very nice to do that on a public show for everyone to see. It would be pretty rude to plan this with the girl and not let her present boyfriend know anything about it and then rock up on the TV and then be dumped publicly. That's very embarrassing. That show isn't going to make me go "awww" when the girl chooses her friend over her present boyfriend because it's probably all a hoax for money.

well it depends if he got her on T.V. its most likely to be ''famous'' but if there was no camara rolling well its pretty hard to answer since im on the same situation but probably they think thell stay around more with someone that has a crush on her for about +1 year

The bad thing about reality TV is that you never really know what is real & what isn't. That's one of the reasons why I hate realty TV so much. I don't care how much they call it reality TV as long as these people know that there is a TV camera on them then it's not really reality TV. I'm sure that they are told to act a certain way as soon as the cameras start rolling.
