I live in India and I want to stop it as I need to keep money in paypal to get it in some good amount. Is there any way to set it ? Because I am fed up with this...after every 10-15 days its automatically getting autowithdraw and showing that "You made a request to transfer money from your PayPal account to your bank account. " But the problem is ...I didnt... Thanks....

Due to loss of revenue by Indain goverment as all money that people of India earngoes out and it not contribute to country's wealth, Rbi had made some rebulation with regard to online payment methrods. Paypal had to follow that mendatory thus they have made some changex in the way it works in other country. First thing is that you can't keep your money in paypal for longer time, if you got the withdrawal capacity then you will have withdrwa it or it will automaticaly goes into you bank account. This is mentory as of rbi requlation on paypal. Since rbi forced paypal, they adopt this auto-withdrawal methord and tnere is no anyway you can stop it. I think they are not charginging user in withdrawing to the bank account. It is good in part. I think you would be said to hear that you can't stop it but think of our country. It not the fault of rbi but of paypal they didn't want to get exposed so adopt the methords. These companies just think of thier gain and din't bother about the country they work in.

"It not the fault of rbi but of paypal" You are talking complete rubbish. PayPal were forced by the RBI to adopt these measures so that they could continue to serve Indians. You may or may not support your country's motives but it is the Reserve Bank of India (the Government) who imposed these restrictions, NOT PayPal.

Hey owlwings you should be polite and also respectful to me as well as my country. You free to put “rubbish” on me but don’t do that for country. I don’t feel PayPal is my enemy and nor it favors you so be cool. Now what I am trying to say just read carefully and then told me how PayPal is faulty and not RBI. 1. RBI had given instructions to PayPal as well as other banks/gateways to report all transactions above 500$ to them long time back. Rather than following RBI’s norms, PayPal choose to set transaction limit of USD 500 for Indian users. 2. PayPal needs to report payments of amount which is more than 500$ to the RBI which it is not doing. 3. PayPal act as payment gateway and not as a bank, Thus PayPal is not giving interest on money that they kept in PayPal account of either business owners or indivual. 4. PayPal needs to give some interest to the users if it holds money and act like a bank, which it doesn’t. Now considering these points you can understand it PayPal fault and not of RBI. More to favors RBI 1. PayPal allows you to use PayPal balance to buy goods & services online directly which is directly or indirectly affecting India’s revenue from both import as well as export. No country would like to damage it’s economy to favors any company either inside or out of country 2. PayPal think that they over the law and do not submit records, they limited the 500$ tractions for that. 3. PayPal didn’t care user of INDIA, they not considering their view points. They to avoid getting shown to RBI just adopt the intermediate methods. 4. Why they don’t accept the terms of RBI? Let shows their records to them, this because they have much to hide from RBI than those from users. 5. Auto withdrawal is not made mandatory for user but to hide and keep on doing business they adopt it. 6. Paypal is holding monopoly here and thus taking advantage of it with out bothering the problem of users. 7. They have no respect for customer as well as the country which they must have. 8. Why India should loose the money that India make up? All money just remain in paypal or either go out which give no exchange to government and thus not permissible. Thus PayPal is just avoiding the laws and trying to put the blame on RBI.

Hi friend, I am thankful that I read your response. My money was getting auto-withdrawn every few days from Paypal according to the new rules but suddenly, just as you have mentioned, the money is lying in my account and no auto-withdrawal is taking place. This has become problematic for me as I can only manually withdraw but after reaching $10 only.I have made one withdrawal but now I am having to wait for the money to build up again.I wish that the process of auto-withdrawal starts again.

This is something new to me. I guess it would be some monetarily policy issue for PayPal to conduct its business with Indians, according to the other members. Since it is a policy issue, I guess there isn't much choice, is there? For us in Singapore, we have to withdraw them. There is no charge involves for $200 and above. Cheers.

Yes you right, this rule has been made by governing and main bank of India - RBI(Reserve Bank of India). We don't have any choice but there is no charges on these withdrawal. Thanks.

I am not sure if there is any way to stop the autowithdrawal system in paypal. May be you could write to them and ask them if it is possible. But if the money is in the bank however small the amount may be atleast you are getting a little interest on that.

HI Its a new policy from paypal for Indian users. Its because of new RBI rules.. We can't do anything for stopping auto withdraw. Its same for every Indian users. Money will be transferred to your bank without your request. But the good thing is that they aren't charging any extra fee for withdrawing.

With regards to your problem, I advise you to contact Paypal through mail or Skype. When I had problem on them, I also contacted them via that way. I am sure they will help you with regard to that. I had heard also about your problem from my Indian friends. That is one of the most disappointing fact about Paypal. I do hope you could resolve that.

Because of the regulations of the RBI, PayPal are obliged to do this. Autowithdraw is obligatory for all Indian customers and you cannot stop it. The advantage is that PayPal have waived all charges for transfers to bank accounts for Indians.

As per RBI Guidelines Paypal has to automatically wihdrawn indian balance to their bank account within 7 days, I thing you may stop automatically process, for this you have to enter your 2nd bamk account, and you see your automatically withdrawn stop, but now you have to choose from 2 bank where you deposited the fund, But as per RBI Guidelines Paypal has to withdrawn that amount within 7 days, so they automatically choose their 1st account to deposited the amount...

I have never set my account up like that before. I would call Paypal and ask them or have them do it for you.

Hi, My problem is quite opposite to yours. In fact I was quite happy with the auto withdrawal system on Paypal.Any amount that came into my account would be transferred automatically without hassles but suddenly the auto withdrawal has stopped on my account. What has happened now is that I am having to accumulate $10 and then request a transfer to my bank myself. This is problematic for me as it is taking me time to build up the minimum withdrawal amount before requesting it.I do not know why or how this has happened.May be if this has happened to you,you would be more relived. But for me it is a problem.I want auto withdrawal back on my account.

I dont think its possible now. The money in your paypal balance will be transferred to your bank account automatically after a fixed amount of time. RBI has put this obligation on Paypal claming that this would reduce the black money transactions. The only way out of this is that request the payout from all the earning sites at the same time and accumulate enough in your account and then only request a payout.!!
