and so silent...3 hours ago my last guest left...after 3 days of festivities and a house full of people it feels strange and quite lonely I know it will take 2 or 3 days at least to go back to my own routine the table is still laid with decorations and there are boxes full of empty wrappers to be disposed into the recycling bin...but oh what a great time we had! on Christmas morning I was ordered out of the kitchen by my lovely daughters and mind you they cooked and cleaned and did all the work...so I just dressed up and got to mingle with the guests without a worry in the world! I Am impressed by what they did and so thankful and we all had a lovely time...I know the house feels empty right now...but not for long...tomorrow my grandson and his girl friend are coming to dinner and guess what? she will bring dinner and I only have to make a garden salad and a potato bake because my grandson said[ nan its your best ever] now do I believe him?...any way the house feels a bit empty today but is never empty for long and I Am happy for that.

It is always Good to have company and enjoy them being around, but it is always a pleasure when they leave as well so you can enjoy the Peace and quite and get back to your regular routine as well. I know I always feel this way even though you usually miss their company and having Loved ones around.

i imagine the feeling you are having while watching the empty seats and living room. the mess that was left behind could not escape the eyes. the laughters are still reverberating inside the room. well, the party is over. and another one is coming. nothing beats a party with the family. it's clean fun and bonding time.
