In my childhood, my parents are not allowed me to select dress. They select dress but mostly it doesn't matches to me. Always they have chosen dress which couldn't fit me. but i still use it for their compulsion. Nowadays they allowed me to buy whatever dresses i liked most. My father bought same type of dress soon after i bought new dress.

Confidence comes with appearance. It is a sad thing to be unable to have the right to select dresses. A dress will be comfortable only if you like it.

I figure who will be the most objective and tell me the truth. I know what I like and usually can chose for myself. I like long dresses and usually stretchy so it is comfortable. I don't care for wild patterns or bright colors. More of a pink and earth tone person.

Everyone has his or her own tastes. I suggest you to wear the dress once before buying it.

I have lot of dresses and a separate almirah to keep those dresses. I change my dress every day and after the washing and pressing I just keep that dress behind, so it's number comes after months. Like that way I enjoy using my dress. I do not keep reserve dresses for party or outing. I just love to use all of my dresses and purchase new clothes in every month.

I think you are born rich :) I do purchase dresses only at special occasions. I am from a middle class family and struggling to get rid of daily spending.

No Dassodils, I was not borned rich. After I got a government job, I first fulfilled all the desires and dreams of my parents and then only I started spending for me. Now, my parents also do not require money and I spend all the money only for me. The dresses are also part of my present profession. I have left my government job and spending time with acting and writing stories. I am also learning singing. So, all those profession requires huge set of dresses and that compels me to purchase every now and then.

I can say that since I had accident I don't find enjoying to wear dresses. It means that I did not wear a dress since 5 years. Maybe one day but not yet. Before I liked very simple dresses, long and black. Some of them hadn't back or sleeves. Sometimes I miss those times.

OMG. Sorry. I can see my post got no sense. I meant that I have nerve damage in my leg. It cause hypersensitivity to my skin. I can't wear tights or leggins and if you wear dress sometimes you need to wear those things. Wearing to tight clothes cause pain. I miss wearing dresses sometimes. I hope this got more sense now

I don't useually ask for help when it comes to dress. I can just look at a dress and know if I'll look good in it or not. I'll try it on look in the mirror and to make sure the size works well on me. But I'm not a women that really like dresses so I don't really have many in my house at all. The last dress I bought was my wedding dress and I saw it in a magazin and knew it was the one but didn't know if they had it in my size. Thankfully they did and I have it now.

It is a great idea for women. Sometimes I follow this method so that we don't need to try wearing all the dresses before selecting a perfect one :)

I honestly don't wear dresses all that often because of the fact that I just don't feel like I really have the body to be able to wear dresses on a regular basis. However, when I have had to pick out dresses for different occasions I will usually get my mother to help me make the choice of the dresses for me. The reason for that is because of the fact that my mother is one of my best friends and I always know that I'm going to get a good opinion from her.

You too said the same. "I honestly don't wear dresses all" means? I am sorry to ask but I am confused. Why don't you wear dress?

I never choose a dress by the color or the fashion statement it makes of the times. i choose a dress on the style and fit and how I like that appeal when i look in the mirror. some dresses are instant winners while others take time to find their place.

I select dresses for myself.. but with my mom's help, I normally asked for her opinion on the dress before buying it. I look for the dress that I like and would find it comfortable to use, the next would be the color... it has to mix/match the shoes or bag that I will use for that particular dress.

Color is the most important thing we have to consider before buying a dress. Different persons will look different in a single color. For example a white men will look good in black dress where black men not.

I am a person who always try to have pretty dresses. I mainly used to to catch those combinations of dresses having good look beauty. At first i used to take a nice shirt which gets inside my pocket and then i used to take pants having matching colour. This is how i used to take my dresses. This had helped me to have fine combinations. I always make sure that i always that the dress are of branded. So that they will be of great quality.

Great! I think wearing branded clothes increases confidence. The reason is that wearing comfortable dresses is the best way to maintain confidence to face anyone.
