Avatar not updating - anyone else run into this?

Spike, I would have expected you to have been one of the first to know and understand that the 'image' part of the server has been down for some days (at least since Christmas Eve). The answer is, of course, "Be patient - MyLot Staff deserve their holiday as much as (if not more than) we do." I'm certain that, actually, you will join me in wishing all those unnamed but very personable people, who work in the big black building in the suburbs of Kansas City, a VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR. Running a site like MyLot is hard work ... don't anyone believe that it's not! I'd actually love to hear what the sound of nearly half a million hands clapping for MyLot sounds like!

MyLot seems to be having problems with images today, so maybe that's the problem? None of the images in "interests" has loaded for me today. They must be on a different server, because nothing else seems to be affected. Maybe if you wait another day, they'll have it fixed.

I found a graphic I wanted to use and saved it to my documents on my computer. Then when I went in to find a graphic for mylot, I just browsed my document files for the one I wanted to use and downloaded it to mylot. It worked great. Give it a try.

Hi SpikeTheLobster Finally found a discussion from you to participate. I had a Snowman Avatar and since the past two days, it has gone missing... Not sure whether it melted or anything. And now I have the default one which I never liked But it is a glitch as I find many avatars not getting displayed and also none of the photo uploads working. Maybe the admin team is still busy with Holidays and Festive Season

I have noticed that yesterday. It seemed that all the avatars did not work at all. I actually had no avatar at all, not even a pale white silhouette. But it all seems to be fixed as of now.

All images from mylot are anyway missing today. That may be the reason you are having problems with your avatar. Just give it a day or so and then try again. Do something more useful today.

Avatars are knackered lol.

There is something going on with not being able to upload pictures, so that might have something to do with it Spike. I noticed a lot of people having a little box where their avatars are supposed to be. I haven’t tried to upload any pics today, but I know I couldn’t upload yesterday.

Hi there! I'm not so sure if you will like my response but with avatar the only thing that I know is that you will just have to customize your appearance. I'm not so sure though with other sites but with Yahoo it's automatic. All the edit buttons are there. Try it! Thanks!
