Have you met someone through an online dating service and actually ended up in a relationship with them? If so, did you end up finding out the the person was not completely honest with you in the beginning? Did the relationship last?

I did meet someone on an online dating service. It's called Plenty Of Fish & last time I checked it's free. I did end up in a relationship with the person. He was completely honest with me. It's kind of hard to get to know someone online though. We were local to each other so it was easier because after a couple weeks of talking to each other online we met in person. We stayed friends for two months & he was the best friend any one could ask for! We finally started dating in August of 2009 and we've been together ever since! We are actually planning our wedding for March 2013 & I'm just waiting to get my ring. I know it's coming because we've talked about it & we've already put a deposit on the venue for the wedding! My sister & her husband met in an AOL chat room & have been married for almost 7 years, they have three kids & they are completely in love. It doesn't always happen that way. I met a lot of jerks online before meeting this guy. He's one in a million so i am so grateful that I have found him!

I have never done any of such. I have started with online things when I was already married so there is no reason for me to find a date online. What I do most online is try to make money online and promote my business. I do find it very useful and have been reaping the benefits of the internet since then.

I meet someone in online dating site and i met the person personally. The site is free and its okay to communicate with the person. He was honest from the very beginning and up to when we met in person. We end up in relationship, but it ends. Nothing is wrong or bad but i feel i have to let go the person. Knowing him online and in person is just the same. He was as true as he is online and in person. Still communicating with him and occasionally talking back about the past.

I met my husband on a friendship/dating site, and in May next year we have been married for 3 years. I joined a couple of online dating sites when my ex-boyfriend and I split up, my first experiences with online dating weren't very positive. The first man that I met was very different in the real life. We have exchanged emails for a while and he seemed like a nice person, but when we met he was so different from the person that I thought that I knew from the internet and I knew straight away that he wasn't the person I was looking for. My second date wasn't very successful either, we simply weren't attracted to eachother, and neither of us wanted to meet again. On the third date I met my husband

I did found someone online but not through dating online sites. I found him from social site. I believed in him as I do believed what I feel towards him. If given the chance to met in person- that remains to be seen. I have a friend who also met someone from a social site and they've meet in person already. Love comes from unexpected places...we never knew.

I haven't meet my boyfriend in an online dating service but through facebook. But before I met him, I was active on online dating sites. So far so good. We've been together for 1 year already.

No, I have never met anybody through an online dating sight, but I have actually met a couple people through the years on internet chat sites. It has been mixed results, I have met some really cool people, but none that ever turned into a relationship. It can be difficult meeting people online because it required both people to be completely honest. Even then, its easy to get high expectations only to meet in person and find that there is no chemistry. Also, it is important to be very careful about meeting people on the internet.
