because I have nothing else to do at home than eat, watch tv, and sleep. And when I watch tv, I like to eat all the time.. I don't even feel full- and since there are lots of yummy foods, it is very tempting to just keep n eating. I'm just letting go since I will lose all the weight when classes start again. Are you also breaking your diet this holiday?

I've cooked a lot and my siblings cooked a lot too so during the party the food was really overflowing. Lots and lots of foods were on the table and there are lots of leftovers so that I still keep eating more than I usually do. I can’t resist them especially the salads and the sweets. They are so tempting. Anyway this happens only during the holiday season so I will not restrict myself from eating a lot. I’ve been dieting all year long so I think it is okay to break this during the Christmas season.

However if one is already fat I don't think it is good to still indulge in too much food during holiday season. If I am fat maybe I'd avoid going near the dining table to avoid food temptation. But that would be really hard and would take a lot of sacrifice. Who can ever do that? Indeed for those who are fat they become fatter and to those who are not fat they become heavier during Christmas season. Should be blame this on Christmas. No! Blame this to people who cook a lot during Christmas! Or better yet blame yourself if you can't resist the bountiful food during Christmas season.

I am a person who doesn't care much about the size of my body. I eat the things which I love and doesn't eat those ones which i does't love. I just look to maintain a good fit body. It is the one of the main aim on eating.
Am i right ?

Not really, since it is very hard to lose all the weight you have gained. You should control yourself and eat only the healthy food- since there are healthy food that is still delicious..

I'm not really on a diet but I will tell you one things..I sure do eat a lot more during this time. I have been in the middle of every pan of fudge I see. There are a lot of women at work that bring in stuff they bake and although they don't really twist my arm, they might as well be when they bring that stuff in for everyone.

Fortunatly, I don´´t eat snacks. I eat 4 meals a day usually and that is all. I might grab a cookie if there is one around. But not much more than that. And I certainly do a lot more things at Chrismas than at other times of the year. I made lots of cupcakes for Christmas eve and had a friend for the day on the 25th. My diet is only to skip spices and a couple of foods that do not agree with my tummy after the chemo. But it will pass.

Everyone gets fatter during Christmas except I guess my 9 years old daughter who never stop moving, dancing, playing and talking. My mother in law have her blood pressure yesterday checked up and she found out that she have a high blood pressure again. She already controlled it through diet and medicines but because she can't resist eating, she already become fatter. I am worrying too with my 3rd year HS daughter. She will be having her JS prom this coming Feb. 2012 and yet she gain a lot of weight. I don't think there is a nice gown that will fit her perfectly and I guess we have to save for a brand new gown instead of just renting. Unless of course, she could loss weight this January. She is enjoying a good breakfast at home because she is on school vacation, have lots of time in the dining table.

I guess it happens to everyone! My friend last night told m that Christmas made her fat and now she has to go on the treadmill and lose it all off. She just lost 3 kg and now she just gained it back on due to Christmas. Christmas of course is packed full of celebrations and dinner. I had a Christmas party at my Grandfather's place and the next day, had a picnic at the beach with my cousins. So I think I gained a few kilograms too but I try to exercise every day. WE kinda get a little laid-back and just stuff down the food during the Christmas break. We're all at home celebrating with our families so we will probably chow down some food. There's always nice food during Christmas too and I reckon a lot of people will get fat during the holiday break as everyone is at home, not at work. Though my Christmas parties only lasted for two days and now I'm at home going back to my old routine but I reckon more parties will arise sooner or later. It's alright to let yourself go because you will lose all that weight later.

I guess most of us do. So many sweets and food. We have to relax and enjoy the holidays. No harm in that.

Seriously, in time of celebration such as Christmas, it's time to throw everything you can into your stomach. I always eat a lot of cakes, sweets, desserts during such occasion. I don't think eating like this during a short holiday would affect our health much. After all, celebrations without such food is just not complete. Won't you agree?

I think most people tend to over indulge during the holiday season. My wife is a fantastic cook and baker so I know I definitely tend to splurge on the sweets. The pounds are a little harder coming off than going on but I try to stay fairly active and I just don't constantly worry about my weight.

i eat the usual, i dont get fat during the holidays. i just get a little of everything. though i have to admit i miss Christmas at home to years in a row already. and missing holidays at home is very sad but i am still thankful for i am away because of work. there are more holidays to come and i can still have those chance to celebrate with them. my wife gains a little over the holidays but not fat... she drinks a lot of hot tea after eating anything. she said it helps.

This is so true. When we are at home we feel like munching one thing or other whole day and its holiday so we do not feel like doing any work and need a special meal also apart from the snacks. All this will ultimately result in making us fat.
