Do you like to give or receive? Gifts, compliments, money anything. Does it make you shallow to like to receive? Are you a giver or a receiver. Will you dare to answer?

My kids always ask me every year what I would like for Christmas. I always tell them that I need only to have their company and have a peaceful and joyous time with them. I enjoy being the gift giver. I do like to receive gifts mind you...don't get me wrong there. But, I get so much more joy from seeing they expression on the faces of the person who opens a gift that they are receiving from me. I put a lot of thought into what the gift will be. My gifts are mainly homemade as well.

i definately prefer to give as there is that feeling of satisfaction when someone enjoys what you give...
i often find it hard to receive but it is nice sometimes hehehe as my friends do it to show how much they appreciate my friendship....that feels nice too

For me it depends on what is being given and what is being recieved. If it is something good (such as 1 million dollars) then it is better to recieve. However if it something bad (like a punch in the face) then it is far better to be the one who is giving rather than receiving.

I enjoy the giving part more when other people are around, but once I get home alone, I have to admit I really enjoy looking at all the stuff that I got. So I think I like the whole exchange that goes on during the holidays.

i've always found giving to be a more rewarding experience, especially after seeing the smiles on the faces of the recepients.
