Don't you hate the movies when...

Yesterday I went to the movies, watched the movie 'New Year's Eve'. The movie itself was pretty good, it had lots of hollywood stars in it and was pretty funny. The one thing that made me just want to leave movie was some people there. A group of 'children' didn't stop talking for one second! It really pissed me off as I couldn't hear the movie at times due to them.
Has this ever happened to you? Don't you just hate it when this happens? What do you do in these situations?

They're are not exactly little children. More like teenage children.
I did tell them to shut up, but they, like all other arrogant young teenagers, didn't listen to me and just continued talking like I didn't say anything.
I really laughed at the Steven Seagal comment! I might buy his kids popcorn before leaving the theatre ROFL!

If Chuck Norris was there instead of Steven Seagal I would just bury myself where I'm sitting. LOL!

I hate it when I excited to see a good movie and there are kids (teenagers) talking, laughing and texting during...some have no manners and rude! It pisses me off as well so I understand where your coming from. I ask them to quiet down and try to be nice and if they continue I just grab one of the employees to get them out.

It's really good that the employees at your theater actually respond to you when you call them and get those annoying kids outside. I have tried calling them sometimes but they just go over to the kids and tell them to keep it quiet. Ofcourse the second they are gone the kids act like they never spoke to the employee and continue yelling as if they were having a yelling contest.
Anyways, have a nice day and happy myLotting!

Amazingly the theaters where I live are actually pretty good about disruptions during a movie. Some kids are mindful when you ask them to quiet down then you have those that want to be seen and heard and that's when you have to get the staff invloved. I understand what you mean when you say the kids will keep up the annoying laughing and talking after they leave but I have zero tolerance for stuff like that especially if I've already asked nicely.
Have a great day and thanks...I'm still new to this site but I really like it!:)

Whatever happened to ushers? Although I do remember years ago going to see the war movie "Catch 22". There was a flashback seen that they went back too a few times and each time somebody behind me said 'this is where his guts fall out'. It was anticlimactic when they did.

It's even worse when you read it in a movie review. Years ago, I read a review of the movie Alien and it told of how the alien broke out of the first officers chest. That was a critical point in the movie which lead to all of the rest of the action yet the reviewer had to go and spoil it. You might not like that genre of movies but you can probably agree with my point.

I do like Sci-Fi movies. Usually in reviews, the writer posts a note saying that the review contains a spoiler. If he/she didn't post that then he/she is probably just a 12 year old troll. If it was mentioned then I think it's your fault. I usually stay away from reviews containing spoilers if I plan on watching the movie anytime soon.

One of the things I hate the most is when someone just screws up a movie by saying what happens before it does!
I really hate that kind of people.

Those rarely happen to me, but when it does, I just bear with it, although they can be very annoying. Which is why I just prefer to buy a dvd so I can watch the movie in my own time and in peace so I may fully understand the movie.

Ofcourse getting a DVD and watching the movie at home can solve these problems, but sometimes my home theater just isn't enough to entertain me as much as the movies amazing equipment.

I have had that happen and it is annoying. Parents should know better than to bring little ones to a movie unless they know how to be quiet! I dont get mad at the kids because they dont know better but I get mad at the parents, they should know better!! The worst is when the teenagers are loud and saying not nice things during a movie, they should know better too!
