I had done two Ebay transactions and I was happy that it was a success. I had already received the two products. I bought only those products which were cheap in order to test if I could get the product with my registered address. I am just curious if how secure is an Ebay transaction. Had you tried also Ebay transaction already? Was it a success?

When you buy from a reputable seller, transactions are very safe. I've bought quite a few things from eBay and I've only had a problem onetime. Its also safe to sell stuff too, just don't send it unless you've been paid. I use PayPal for eBay and it's safe and quick. There are scammers out there, you just have to be careful with who you buy from.

I have never had a problem when I have bought items from eBay, but I always look at the seller feedback to make sure they don't have any negative feedback before I buy from them. That way I always get a good experience.

If you use Paypal through Ebay to pay for your item, it's as safe as safe can be. Ebay keep a track of everything that is happening such as whether the items been paid for, whether the items been delivered and all that and if something does go wrong and you can't resolve it with the seller, you can contact Ebay and begin a case where Ebay will make the final decision. Nobody will get your credit card details or anything either. So if you're buying from Ebay, make sure you stick with Paypal and then you'll definitely be safe :)

One of the things that I have found to be the most important when you are taking part in Ebay transactions is that you have to make sure that the seller that you are purchasing from is a reputable seller. With that said, I've taken part in probably close to 100 ebay transactions in the past several years and there has never been a transaction that I've been a part of that has not gone the way that I expected it to go. I would say that 95% of ebay transactions work out well.

I have bought and sold on ebay several times with no problems whatsoever. You can read a sellers feedback from customers and this will give a good indication of how trustworthy they are and what it is like to do business with them. Also, if you have a dispute paypal or ebay can step in and help to resolve the problem depending on what it is. Hope this helps.

I use Ebay a lot and have found it very good. But as with everything else today, you must use your common sense when dealing with the site. Every seller has a track record which will tell you if they are honest or not. It is impossible to please everybody so one must expect that every trader might have one or two black marks against them. But if their rating is 99% good then it is almost certainly safe to deal with them. However, it works both ways. If you have not used Ebay much, some traders do not want to work with you. Some traders ask to phone them first before you bid if you have a rating less than 10 or something. Some members of the public can be more of crooks than any trader!

I am using Ebay since it is available in my country -- they bought a previous auction site 11 years ago --. The main problems I had were always with new members. If a member has a good reputation, there is generally no risk. I have also not received some items from foreign countries, but I think it was more a post/customs problem than due to the seller : since I have decided to pay for registered mails when buying in a country outside the EEC, it never happened.
