Going on a vacation, really piles up the work

I was not active for the past 3-4 days here in myLot because I had a LLLLOOOOONNNGGGG Christmas celebration 
It was fun really, mingle with the family, had a drinking session with the cousins, having nice conversation with relatives, swimming at the beach, non stop eating, eating was my favorite part because my uncle prepared very well cooked food and some native food that you can only eat by being prepared by the locals :D
But as I sit on my bed, and checked myLot, I had around 157 unread messages from myLot alone, a few 53 messages from the company that I worked for, and some unresolved messages from my friends that wished me a Happy Holidays.
and I was thinking, Was I that long apart to my usual stuff. I don't know what it's like in the office maybe even worse, or you could have ruined somebodies holidays and let them do the work for you while your not around.... Well Just saying.
How about you guys? any worked piled up somewhere?

Welcome back. Glad you had tons of fun :-). the only bad part is catching up. On tuesday I took a day off from working online because my main job had me doing extra work. now my online work had pile on.

Happy new year :-). Yeah your right when you enjoy your work it makes things alot easier. What i find best is resting for a while and enjoying yourself and then getting back to work.

Though I am active online, I have still 560 unread messages in my email to read. Tonight, I have read 440 messages already. Still, there is 120 more to go to read them. I hope, I could finish these by 2 in the morning before I sleep.

That's alot of work, I haven't made any progress since today :D
I was hoping I would get back to work by the day I made this discussion but it ended up in failure. I was partying and doing alot of stuff these past few days and my work is piling up fast.

It is really hard coping up those messages in a limited time. Maybe I should upgrade to have another electronic device that I can carry anywhere like working on mylot while enjoying family or friends getaways and gatherings. For the least moment, I may able to prevent from piling up unread messages. It seems you have a zero casualty their in Davao City this 2012, congratulations my friend.

Coming back from a vacation always has a bit of extra work, but fortunately I don't have the kind of job where work piles up in my absence, so I can just get right back into it and not worry too much about how long I was gone for.

On my part, work piling is not that much.
In the office, we take turns to be on leave. So I clear some of my colleagues stuff and work while they are gone, so when I am on leave, they help to clear mine.
Fair and square.
Back in the times where there isn't much help in the office, work do pile up as well even for a day. So I usually try not to apply any leave or holiday back then.
Anyway, now I can enjoy my holidays, as work are more distributed. And we cover each other when any of us not around. :)

That is actually a good Idea, like a proxy while your on vacation :) Teamwork in the office. In the office, many of my processors do this as well, and it helps ease the work when your on leave.
The idea is nice, fair and square, TEAMWORK.

I don't have any pile of works to do or long queue of email from mylot.
I lost my notification from mylot a year ago due to some glitch so,I do not have any notification received from this site.
It's fine, I can check friends topic and also other task here, though,it would be a lot easier if I have a notification.
I was not here for 3 days also due to some work - no time for celebration.

You should have atleast a little time for celebration, as I remember you have someone special to share it with right?
I actually relay on my notifications on my emails, so that I can respond to my friends discussions first and for most, then I can check my own discussions as well.

I was here or at least checked the mail and everything else on and I have unread messages.
Yet it is very nice when you have unread messages because these holidays they bring us pleasure to read how they greet each other.

157 messages from MyLot...I couldn't imagine that. Wow! So I'm guessing you have some 'catch-up' to play. I took Monday of this week off, and I'm taking Monday of next week off, too. However it's been so slow at my work that I only had a little bit of 'catching-up' to do. More like, mainly I had 'tidying up' to do because whoever took my place for the day seems like they made everything a little disorganized!!! I hate that. lol

I actually just started today on my "catching up" It was even a longer New Years celebration.
The person that took your place must have been wasted big time

You can start by doing all that work and responding on it one by one now. I was not so active as well lately especially on Christmas day. Zero earnings and missed the fun here. 'Though I felt most of the people have become a little busy too. After Christmas I only have less time here in myLot, today I was able to check only a few discussions because I was out with my best buds... and tomorro might be a busy day again with them.

I was very busy during the holidays, I was only able to make a reply/post for about only 3 discussions and I was off again. But hopefully I will be back and be more active again.
Going out with friends really is hard to decline, specially during days inbetween holidays,

Wow looks like you have had a fun filled vacation...
Don't you get leave from your job during vacations??looks like you have pretty lot of work to do..I too got messages but i sorted them out and kinda finishing them..
You are gonna have two or three sleepless nights..thats all lol...

hahaha, I wish I have a shortcut for this so that I wouldn't have to go on a marathon to keep myself updated with work :)
I am actually on vacation, and my only work is myLot and few extra stuff from the office where i work.
And yes, when I am working, it's usually only on the evening that I can rest
