I have started blogs before but have never kept them going I get too busy or distracted. But this one is going to be part of my New Year's Resolutions to keep going!
I've decided that I don't want it to be a blog just about me because I don't think that's very interesting. Instead I've decided to start a blog where I compare films to the books that they were based on. I think it's quite an interesting idea and not one I've seen a lot of but I'd like to know if you think it's a good idea? It's also to try and encourage me with another one of my New Year's resolutions which is to read more books!

A focused topic blog is better than mixed-topic blog, IMHO :). And anyway, comparing films and books they based on is really a great idea :). It can benefits both of books lovers and movie lovers!
Now just keep on your spirit and don't forget to make regular update! :D
Good luck!

A quick tip:
I suggest you to make your site navigation easier. You don't have to do much complicated things, just make sure the readers are being able to see your older posts easily, and you may featured your most popular posts on the front page as well!

Hi beki, It's a good way to start your New Year. Welcome back to blogging. And like you I don;t feel like writing a blog about myself which I have done few years ago. I stopped it and have made a new blog. The concept you thought about is very interesting.

I'd be interested to read your blog! I don't think my life is interesting enough to write a blog about it and I've tried to keep one about me before but lost interest. I felt that if I wasn't feeling enthusiastic about writing about my day why would anyone want to read it?

Yup that is why I stopped writing mine too, plus it was written in my native language. Although it has got a good PR it's still not in English. So I won't be able to use it to monetize so I dropped it already. Now I am just putting up anything and everything but only when I have time to do so, I don;t update regularly a bit lazy yah know Mine just consist of some movie information or news that caught my attention. Nothing fancy

I think it is a good idea. You may also upload some movies or free book for people to download. Sometimes, the books are more interesting than the films, but most people don't know about it. Your blog might encourage people to read more books or more films.

I'm hoping that it will encourage people to read new books or see new films. I'm going to make sure there is a link after each comparison so that people can find copies of the books and films if they are interested. Also I hope it's going to make people realise how many films are in fact based on books!

Hi there! You just gave me an idea to include my food blog in the list of my New Year's Resolution's list, lol!
A blog about yourself wont give you that much traffic unless you have followers or friends who are consistent in viewing your blog, so a film blog would be better. I think one topic you can start of is about Harry Potter, there are books and movies about it,I'm sure you know it. I have a friend who has a Movie blog and it's doing fine. He writes reviews about movies he watched and when I need something to watch for but doesn't know what good movie to watch,I just checked on his blog and see what movie is good.
Good luck to your new blog!

That is good to hear. I hope you will continue to work on with your blog. My tip for you is to write what you know.
