I have currently registered with freelancer.com and bid for some data entry jobs(catpcha job). Some employers have replied me and asked me to do their tests and will gaurantee me to work for them if I meet their requirement. Should I do the test as I am not sure whether I will receive the job or not and also not sure about if I can trust the employers on freelancer.com? Can anyone who have experience on freelancer.com give me some advice? Many thanks!

I have experience with freelancer.com. The rate for bidding there is very low. I got a contract from a provider but he wanted to work outside freelancer.com instead on the site. Maybe because the freelancer.com gets to charge them with extra cost.
I prefer working with Odesk. They have higher rates and their engine is much easier to use. Here's the link to Odesk == www.odesk.com/referrals/track/writer777

I have an account with freelancer.com but I do not bid since it is hard to compete with different people who bid so low. I use fiverr instead of freelancer, in fiverr there is no bidding once you were selected you can have the job.

I think I will be once I get myself better at programming.
I once got there but didn't have much time to do any of the tasks available. I will give it a shot once I'm done with my exams though.
Cheers and happy myLotting!

There are a few legit online freelance job sites and freelance.com is one of them. Though these sites facilitate employers & contractors by providing the required interface, they can not be held for some unscrupulous people misusing the platform. The guidelines on there might provide you a way for reporting suspect job postings and reporting unscrupulous practices. You mus make use of that [even if it looks unproductive, waste of time so that such elements are kept at bay.
You must keep trying to look for other jobs posted by well ranked employers with credentials and you may land a few good jobs. Good Luck!

Freelancer is a legitimate site but it does not follow that all the employers that are posting jobs in the site are also legitimate. I just got lucky that a found a legitimate employer from freelancer. This is how it went. I posted a bid on 3 jobs of article writing. After a day, I received a message from one employer to add him on my YM and after doing so, he immediately interviewed me on line regarding my past experiences and personal information. He asked me to do the test, a rewrite of a 200 word article which I did. He approved the test and sent me an contract online. He explained about the pay, how much I am going to make for every article and what was required. I started my very first articles right after the chat and have remained employed with him since then. It has been 3 months now and I am starting to earn good money from this article writing and spinning. In between orders that is when I am waiting for him to go online, I do myLotting for additional earnings and fun.

I've never heard of that site before, but I would like to find out if they are really good at helping anyone to get a job or not. I will be watching this thread to see if anyone can give you an answer to that. It would be interesting to know if it works. I hope you can get a job through them. Will have to check it out.
