Using twitter for web traffic

I was thinking about using twitter to promote my jewellery website and was wondering how well twitter traffic converts.

If you have a good number of followers then definitely would be a good way. A nice way to achieve these followers is to look for forums that talk about jewellery and make a nice relationship with the users.

I think that would be great. Many people are already doing that. Even celebs use twitter to promote products. You do have to have a lot of followers though.
