I don't know why but for the last few days I've had these weird moods where I'm tired and I know I am but I also know that I won't be able to sleep at least not for very long so I end up staying up really late every day, anyone else get this? might just be me being strange haha

I have been having the same problem. While I normally am an insomniac, even when I try to go to bed after being up so late, I can't fall asleep. In the past, a cup of hot chamomile has helped, even taking Melatonin. However, lately nothing seems to be working.
I've learned that a lack of sleep really takes a toll on your body and immune system. I have learned that the hard way. So, even if I don't think I'll get a wink of sleep, I'll lay down in a quiet and dark room and close my eyes. Eventually I will nap for a few hours, which is better than no sleep at all.
So no, you are not alone in this.

Yeah I think we are very similar, I'm what I guess you could call an Ex-Insomniac which obviously I'm used to the not being able to sleep but this feels quite different to before. Thanks for your experiences I'll try it sometime :)

Actually, I get rest pretty good lately, if I didn't have too much work to do, I might sleep at night pretty good until next day. At least I can get 7 - 8 hours sleep. When I was extremely tired, I simply lay on my bed, and close my eyes, I can sleep for the rest of the day.

Lucky you! If I'm really tired I can sleep within 10 minutes but on average it will usually take me at least half an hour to fall asleep sometimes longer which can be very annoying and usually if I get up then I'm up for at least a few hours I can't often go straight to sleep again after

I have that happen from time to time and I think it is just too much on my mind. Like if I have a list of things to do, I go to bed and keep thinking about my to-do list. So often I'll stay up late just to do one or two things so I feel better about it. Other days I stay up late THINKING about the list but not doing anything on it :)
In the long run I know that if I was better at getting things crossed off my to-do list, I would probably sleep better.... but I'm a procrastinator :) One of these days, I'll have NO to-do list at all! Maybe :)

Yes I think most of us have experienced the same thing. I am most of the time experiencing that. Usually when I am tired I don't get to sleep so easily. Maybe you are also thinking of a lot of things or it's just fatigue.
