Motivation: iwriter - 2 Articles, 2 Accepted, $4.87!!!

Hello guys, I started my online writing journey, rather I re-started my online writing journey after experiencing some failures in Squidoo and Expertscolumn and stuff. So I was scared of my work getting rejected, but it wasn't. I wrote 1 article at first and it got accepted. I wrote another one and it got accepted too. So I think it will serve as a motivation for you guys. I underestimate myself, you don't do that. Try to do work, you will experience some failures at first but success will soon follow.

First and foremost congragualtions .. It is great to get paid for your work. I had registered for this site too and now I think i wil take a closer look... I am still confused on whether to go the upfront fee way or work for residual income.. I have a few articles in squidoo and the other sites and I money is only trickling in.. I think I would also make a serious attempt to write now for i writer. Thanks for the motivation.

Hi Ashwin, as I said, I never made a penny with my lenses. I haven't written adequate content there, but my 6 lenses haven't made almost anything. I have just kept them as souvenirs. I think I have made around half a dollar at expertscolumn. You should look at this one, and no problem.

That's nice I guess, I have a lens which promotes a not so costly article but people are too Kanjoos to buy.

Hmmm even I have made around 1.50 dollars only in expertscolumn, but I just hope hope as I publish more the no.s will increase.. I have been doing better in Squidoo.. I had 5 lenses in for december and all are in tier 3 . So expecting 2.5 $ for them and have also made one amazon affiliate sales commision of 2 $ So expetcing 4.5 $ in total for December from Squidoo :)

hi boyuancy, Congrats on your increased earnings. May it continue. I was also going to add that, in not underestimating yourself, I hope that in time it includes how much you get paid for writing. I feel you're undervaluing yourself in that area. At a minimum, $0.01/word is what you should get paid. But, yes, in the meantime, where you are is cool - it's an improvement, but know that you can earn more - don't stay where you are for too long - grow.

Haha, thanks for the doodle compliment! As well as the revenue sites, consider also looking for people who will pay you at least $0.01/word to write. All the best in 2012.

People aren't paying per word unfortunately, but per article. I am paid $2.47 per 500 words, but the article is actually worth $3.00. The rest goes to the site as commissions.

heh! well, even without referral system it is fine. I mean, you can earn around 10$ too in the site. It is not hard if you are knowledgeable or good at writing articles. I already did 3 articles there and waiting for the approval Hopei get approved.

My motivation to earn by writing articles had been smacked down since I was being rejected by PostLoop because of my poor grammar . I guess I need to learn more about grammars.. It doesn't mean I had gave up, it just recently I enjoyed earn with another site. But maybe in the future I'll try to earn by writing articles... Anyway I just curious, how much time did you need to finish one article? :)

Way better than myLot. It is a point based system. You make about 2 points per post, depending on your user rating. You can cash out at 100 points. And the conversion factor is 100 points = $5 I need 68 posts to make 100 points.

Hi indi, triond is a good site but you don't earn much there. You need to write and write and write a lot there and you need to get the traffic there. That is when you earn there and getting 10$ there is such a tedious one because you need to spend a lot of time on that. But then, don't give up. May be if you find topics in a way that you can get many visitors, then go ahead, there are people who earn a lot there too. Its just that I am not that good for that site.

Triond is basically a revenue sharing website. And you just get paid 50% of what you earn. I am content with this at the moment and will rewrite the stuff for Factoidz. You can try that if you want. Good luck.

Hi indi, well I don't know much about Triond. I looked at the site and it looks like worth a try. And as much as I'm tempted to take a look at various sites, I think I'll concentrate on just one of them i.e. iwriter. Best of luck to you there.

Happy new year to you too. $5 is nice I think, but going on the quality of the original content I produced, I don't think it was enough. Also, originally the articles were of $3 each so $6 in totality. That means the web owners get $1 for my hard work.

Good for you. What happened to your articles in Expertcolumn, I thought it was one of the good sites there for writing. It seems that I may be wrong.

Hi Mashnn, the deal with Expertscolumn is that it pays for the views you get. I haven't written the right kind of attention grabbing articles there, I have just copy-pasted my squidoo lenses there. But this pays directly for your work, which is a lot better.

I too have tried to do article writing many years before but ended up failing... I never kept trying different websites..They all seemed to have strict rules for posting..So i ended up just posting one and got 50-100 hits... Looks like you have the content and the ability for writing...Keep up the good work and then maybe you will be writing plenty of articles...
