pile of works, cover our friends during holiday season

As we know that sometimes we felt irritated and frustrated to have piles of work and the deadline really unreasonable during holiday season like now..Meaning we must stay in the office to cover our friends jobs who has vacation. The end of the year could be the busiest time in company, this could lead problem for us since normally many people has also taking vacation, usually they start take holiday week before vacation. So we must taking care of piles of work they left. Sometimes it becomes difficult since we are not really hands out with their job and the handover could be not really smooth. We understand that the ones who willing to take vacation, their mind already somewhere else, so it sometimes makes us difficult during handover process..However, we must take care and never complain about this situation..
