It seems that many people like eating steak with 70% done. As it is soft and juicy. It is delicious to eat it in this way. But now I may change my mind. Since it is still a little raw and may not be safe to eat. I have to eat it with full done. How about you?

No, I would not eat raw steak. Infact I have mine cooked medium well. Still a thin ribbon of pink in middle to keep it moist, tender and tasty but not raw. I don't think it is good for you to eat raw meat unless it is has been seered and reached a certain temperature.

to my opinion and which i have read and studies in my life is that boil food is good for the health neither the full baked nor half. the reason behind the eating boiled food is that boiled foods whole nutrition and does not allow to pass any vitamins from it while if we talk about the baked foods the nutrition and vitamins are destroyed during baking up of food.

I agree with you. People say that the nutrition will not be lost so much if you boil them.

I am not much of a steak eater. I like mine to be well done. I could never eat it raw.

All professional chef's will tell you the most delicous and savory way to eat a steak is blue. I have not tried it this way because I like my steaks cooked rare, but the less the steak is cooked the tastier it will in fact be. You do have to be careful though because if the steak is not of a certain grade you can and will get sick from eating it too raw. But if you go to a butcher and purchase a nice quality AAA Angus beef steak, odds are you won't get sick from eating it blue.

I haven't heard of eating steak blue. It sounds so attractive anyway.

Beef is generally safe if it is not completely cooked, however I am not usually willing to take that chance. I like steak done at least medium-well. I know many people eat their steak rare though, it just doesn't look good to me that way. Personally, I think steak tastes the best when it is just a little pink inside. The flavor and juiciness is the best. I personally don't like the raw steak taste and do not think it is the healthiest to eat that way.

Raw steak, ewwww yuk! The only time raw steak is good is when you have a black eye and they say you put this on a black eye to help it! I don't eat steak at all, although working out in the gym, steak is full of protein. In my teens whenever I ate steak I would always asked it to be overly well done! NO blood should be seen or I wouldn't eat it, I would rather it burnt than raw. Seeing blood when I eat would put me right off!

I like mine medium well. A little pink in the middle is ok with me. I do understand what you are saying about the safety risks. I don't think there is near as many safety risks with steak as there is with other meats though. They are still there though.

It seems that it is safer to eat raw beef than other meats. Such as the pork, it will be terrible if you eat it raw.

hi youless, am never a fan of half cooked food especially the meat. i can never eat anything unless it is well done. japanese and filipinos are fond of "kinilaw" or sashimi (i think that's the japanese term). it is raw meat of fish (tuna) which is just dipped in soy sauce and something hot. or kinilaw where it is cooked in vinegar and added to some vegies. though it smells so good when mixed, i could never eat the meat. i guess my upbringing.. parents dont eat anything raw either. and we have here plenty of oysters. some just pour hot water on it and when they open, i could see that it is still raw... iwwwwwww! for me i will have to boil the whole thing first before i attack it. but then i am fond of watching people eat them. it looks very tempting and delicious. i just dont have the guts. ann

I'm care about my health so I don't eat red meat anymore. When I used to have them, I always cook or order for a well done steak. I don't care if people tell that the juicy one is the delicious one, it's okay if my steak does not reach the top of deliciousness as long as I'm safe from those meat bacterias, lol.

hmm it's truth that is dangerous, but sometimes i might still eat steak not completly cooked, but only if i'm sure the meat is perfectly fine. In restaurant i would never eat that.

I think it's a terrible waste to have a steak ever cooked above medium. I like mine medium-rare. It just tastes so good, mmm.

Most fine dinning restaurants see steak as overcooked if it is not red in the middle. I personally like my steak with pink in it, but my husband and children need it fully cooked with not a drop of color. I find its like tring to eat leather at that point of doness, but everyone is different in tastes. I don't think there is that much risk in eating a steak which is not fully cooked. It is not like other meats like pork that can make you very sick if not fully cooked.
